Pairing: Sehun/Luhan, Tao/Kris
Word Count: 4634
Summary: With Kris's help, Luhan finally gets what he wants.
Lu Han smiled as he walked into the office. “Good morning, Kyungsoo. Is Kris here yet?”
Kyungsoo looked up from his desk with a smile. “Yep, same with Zitao.”
“Ahhh okay.” Lu Han nodded and moved to his office. He dropped his stuff off at his office before heading towards Kris’s office. He put an ear near the door and didn’t hear anything. He knocked loudly three times before opening the door.
Lu Han found Zitao sitting on the edge of Kris’s desk with Kris sitting in his chair.
Zitao nodded before quickly leaving the room, closing the door behind him.
Lu Han grinned as he sat in the chair across from Kris’s desk. “So, I take it you’re liking the new personal assistant?”
Kris glared at Lu Han from across his desk. “What did you want?”
“The deal. Remember?”
Kris sighed. “Yes, yes, I know. I’m working on it.”
Lu Han looked at Kris skeptically as he crossed his arms in front of his chest. “I didn’t think it would take you this long but I guess Zitao is too distracting. Maybe I should get him hired elsewhere if you can’t even keep your end of the bargain.”
Kris looked panicked and began waving his arms in front of him. “No, no, no that’s not necessary.” He sighed and reached into one of his desk drawers.
“Here’s all the information you wanted.” He held out a file to Lu Han.
Lu Han stood up and grinned as he took it from Kris. “Thanks. Oh, by the way, you may want to check your office mailbox later. I left you and Zitao each a gift.” He winked and left the office.
Lu Han smiled at Zitao before heading back to his office down the hall. He closed his door and sat at his desk before opening up the file.
Lu Han headed towards the café for lunch, a smile on his face. He opened the door and greeted Joonmyun behind the counter. He walked over to a table by the window.
He smiled as Baekhyun walked over. “Hey Baekhyun.”
“Hello Lu Han. Ready to order or did you…” Baekhyun smiled as his eyes drifted across the room.
Lu Han grinned. “What do you think?”
Baekhyun grinned. “I’ll send him your way. I can’t believe you haven’t made a move yet.”
“I’m just taking my time.”
“Gathering your information? You know you could’ve asked me.”
“Nope, I needed a more reliable source.”
Baekhyun narrowed his eyes. “Bitch.”
Lu Han grinned. “Whore.”
Baekhyun laughed as he placed a kiss on Lu Han’s cheek. “Love you.”
“Love you too. Now go tend to your customers. I think I just saw Chanyeol walk in.”
“Thanks. I’ll send him over in a bit.” Baekhyun walked away towards a tall blonde sitting a few tables away.
A few minutes after, a tall blonde walked over. “Hello, how may I help you?”
Lu Han flashed him a smile. “I’ll have the house salad, Sehun.”
Sehun nodded his head and wrote down his order. “Anything to drink?”
“Whatever you think I should try.” Lu Han smiled brightly up at Sehun.
Sehun gave a slight nod before scribbling something and moving off.
Lu Han watched Sehun move around the café. He noticed the way the slacks hugged his legs (and ass). He noticed how the shirt pulled tight across lean, defined chest muscles. He licked his lips.
“Dude, just go ask him out already.”
Lu Han looked up to see Jongin grinning at him. He pulled out a chair and sat across from Lu Han.
“You know I can’t just ask him out like that.”
Jongin rolled his eyes. “Oh please…you’ve been crushing on him for weeks now. Just go do it.”
Lu Han rolled his eyes back at Jongin. “Uh hello, he’s not going to go out with me.”
“And why not?”
Lu Han blushed a light pink. “Because he said so.”
Jongin stared at Lu Han open-mouthed. “He said what?!?!?! That – want me to talk to him?”
Lu Han stared wide-eyed at Jongin. “What?!?!?! You know him?”
Jongin rolled his eyes. “Uh yeah…we do go to the same university and same dance classes.”
“WHAT?!?!?! Why didn’t you tell me this before?!?!?” Lu Han stared at Jongin in disbelief.
“I did, you just didn’t pay attention since you were too preoccupied with staring at Sehun’s-“
“Oh hi Sehun.” Lu Han smiled brightly at Sehun standing behind Jongin.
Sehun raised an eyebrow before looking at Jongin. “Hey Jongin, did you want to order anything?”
“I’ll just have a panini, you can choose what’s inside. And just get me some water. A lot.”
“Sure thing.” Sehun jotted down Jongin’s order before leaving.
Jongin turned back to Lu Han with a frown. “Go ask him out.”
Lu Han crossed his arms. “Not yet.”
Lu Han rolled his eyes. “It’s none of your business. Oh thanks, Baek.” He smiled up at Baekhyun who had brought out their food.
“Oh come on, Lu Han. What’s keeping you from asking him out?”
Lu Han looked pointedly at Jongin. “Oh right…exactly why did he say that? Do you know?”
“If I did, I wouldn’t be in this situation now, would I?”
“Hmm…you have a point and yet something seems suspicious here.”
Lu Han shrugged his shoulders. “Whatever. Now quiet and let me eat in peace.”
Jongin rolled his eyes as Lu Han dug into his food.
Jongin hung around the café until Sehun’s shift was over.
Sehun came out of the back room and stopped when he noticed Jongin by the counter. “What are you doing here?”
Jongin smiled. “Can’t I wait for my friend?”
Sehun scoffed. “Not when you can be bugging your boyfriend, no.”
Jongin frowned. “Aww…that’s mean. Come on, walk with me to dance.”
Sehun sighed. “Fine, just let me grab my bag.”
“No need, got it here.” Jongin smiled brightly as he held up Sehun’s bag. “Joonmyun let me grab it since we’re going to the same place.”
“Old worrywart.” Sehun muttered as he grabbed his bag from Jongin.
“Hey~ I heard that.” The two boys turned around to see Joonmyun standing in the doorway of the back entrance.
“Whatever, gramps.” Sehun grinned as he walked away with Jongin following behind. “So what did you want to know?”
“What do you mean?” Jongin looked innocently at Sehun.
Sehun rolled his eyes. “You want something from me or else you wouldn’t be waiting outside the café.”
Jongin pouted. “That’s mean. How dare you doubt your humble friend’s intentions? Can’t I just walk to dance with you? I mean –“ He caught Sehun staring at him and sighed. “Fine…I wanted to know why you won’t go out with Lu Han hyung.”
“Lu Han hyung?” Sehun looked Jongin puzzled.
Jongin’s eyes widened. “You seriously don’t know who Lu Han hyung is? Wait a moment, yes you do, you little liar. So tell me. What’s the deal? Why won’t you go out with him? He’s so obviously interested in you.”
Sehun blushed a little. “I can’t go out with him.”
“And why not?”
“Because.” Sehun turned his head away.
“Because is not a reason, Sehun. You’re not a child, though I question this sometimes. So come on, tell me the real reason you won’t go out with Lu Han hyung.”
“I can’t go out with him since he’s my brother’s friend.”
“What?!?!?! You have a brother?” Jongin stopped and stared at Sehun.
“Not a real one but he’s just like my brother. He’s very protective of me.”
“Okay…but how does this translate into you not being able to date him?”
“He told me I shouldn’t date his friends especially Lu Han.”
“What?!?!?! Why not? What’s wrong with Lu Han?”
“Nothing but I don’t know and I never asked.”
“So you’re just going to listen to your not real brother and give up what could potentially be the best thing in your life?” Jongin had his hands on his hips as he looked at Sehun.
Sehun copied Jongin’s pose. “How do you know he’s the best thing in my life?”
Jongin scoffed. “Oh please, I’d have to be dead for 5 years not to notice your interest in him. Remember? I’m your best friend and have known you for years.”
“You’ve only known me for 6 years.”
“Which is long enough to know you and your interest in Lu Han. Now be a man and go out with him.”
Jongin glanced at his watch. “Oh shoot, we better hurry if we don’t want to be late for dance.”
He ran down the street with Sehun following close behind.
Lu Han studied the file on his desk. He read the pages over and over but got nothing. He sighed and got up to head to Kris’s office. He noticed Zitao missing from his desk. He grinned as he knocked once and opened the door.
Zitao sprang away from Kris. He flushed a bright red before scurrying away back to his desk.
Kris looked at Lu Han annoyed. “What did you want?”
“Your part of the deal.”
Kris crossed his arms. “What about it?”
“How is the information in the folder supposed to help me?”
“It listed all the relevant information you needed.”
“You just gave me basically what his doctor could give me. You listed his height, weight, and measurements. I don’t even want to know how you know his dick size.”
“No, just don’t even go there. Where is his personal information?”
“What personal information?”
“Like his interests, what he looks for in a boyfriend, where he lives, and things like that.”
Kris scoffed. “Like I’m going to give you that information so easily.”
Lu Han smiled as he sat down in a chair opposite Kris’s desk. “Well I can tell Zitao about this new job opening…at this brand new store at the mall called…Gucci.”
Kris frowned. “Oh fine. Here, I’ll give you his schedule so you can be more of a stalker.”
“Hey~ like father, like son.”
Kris glared at Lu Han. “Just get out so I can have my time with Zitao.”
“You guys already live together. You don’t need to be wasting valuable work time for your rendezvous.”
Lu Han paused by the door. “Oh, did you enjoy my gift for you? Don’t use it up so quickly. It’s a one-time welcome gift. When you have big news, you may get another.”
Kris picked up a foam ball to toss at Lu Han but Lu Han slipped out the door before Kris could throw it.
Sehun sat down, leaning against the wall and breathing heavily. He smiled gratefully at Jongin who passed him a water bottle.
Jongin sat down next to him. “So something on your mind?”
“What are you talking about?” Sehun took a swig from his water bottle.
“You don’t dance like that unless there’s something on your mind. It’s Lu Han, isn’t it? Seriously, just go out with him. He likes you, you like him. What more do you need?”
“But my brother…”
“Forget your brother. Who is your brother anyway?”
Jongin stared at Sehun. “What?!?!?! Kris Wu…is your brother?”
Sehun nodded his head.
“Kris Wu as in Lu Han’s boss?”
Sehun nodded his head.
“Kris Wu as in Lu Han’s roommate from college?”
Sehun nodded his head.
“Kris Wu as in Lu Han’s best friend?”
Sehun nodded his head.
“Kris Wu as in Kyungsoo’s boss?”
Sehun looked at Jongin strangely but nodded his head.
“Why the hell didn’t you tell me this before? Now it makes some sense, you refusing Lu Han when he so blatantly flirts with you and everything.”
“He flirts with me?” Sehun looked at Jongin with stars in his eyes.
“Oh no no no, you’re not gonna get all googly-eyed like a teenage girl. Stay with me, buddy and tell me about your relationship with Kris Wu.”
Sehun huffed and glared at Jongin. “I already told you. We’re brothers.”
“Yes…and what does that entail?”
“I listen to him ‘cause he knows what’s best. And he told me Lu Han was off-limits.”
“Okay…now we’re getting somewhere.” Jongin smiled as he moved to face Sehun. “And you’re just willing to accept that?”
“But haven’t you tried to ask Kris why you can’t?”
“I tried once but he shot me down. He was so scary I didn’t try again.”
Jongin huffed and crossed his arms. “Well don’t you think it’s been long enough that you can try again?”
“No. Once he says no on something, he won’t change his mind.” Sehun leaned his head back against the wall.
“Oh come on…you could at least try. It wouldn’t hurt.”
“No, when Kris says no on something, it’s final. There’s no way he’ll change his mind.”
Sehun closed his eyes as the door to the studio opened. He kept them closed, not caring who came in or not.
“Oh hi, Lu Han hyung.”
Sehun’s eyes flew open to stare directly into round brown sparkling eyes.
Lu Han had a bright smile on his face as he looked at both Jongin and Sehun. “Hi~ I thought you guys might like some snacks after such an intense dance practice.” He held up the bag in his hands.
“Oh thanks hyung.” Jongin smiled as he grabbed the bag from Lu Han. He squealed, looking at all the treats inside.
“Hi Sehun-ssi. Would you like some food as well?”
“Uh…thanks, Lu Han-ssi.”
Lu Han beamed at Sehun as he took the bag back from Jongin and held it out to him.
Sehun hesitated before looking inside. He found an assortment of snacks. There were a few of his favorite items in there. He grabbed one and thanked Lu Han again.
Lu Han awkwardly stood in front of them holding the bag. Jongin nudged Sehun and nodded in Lu Han’s direction.
Sehun awkwardly looked up at Lu Han. “Uh you can sit down if you want.”
LuHan smiled gratefully. He took a seat across from Sehun on the floor.
Sehun felt uncomfortable with Lu Han staring directly at him. He cleared his throat but that didn’t remove the lump lodged there.
Lu Han shyly looked down at his hands in his lap. “Uh…Sehun-ssi…I-I was wondering…if it’s no trouble at all and if you’re comfortable with it, do you think I could take you out to dinner tomorrow night?”
Lu Han nodded his head.
“Say yes, damn it. Say yes!”
Lu Han and Sehun stared at Jongin who looked a little annoyed at them (actually it was more directed at Sehun).
Sehun coughed. “Uh…sure…I-I guess.”
Lu Han beamed. “Great. Could you give me your number and address? I’ll pick you up at 7 tomorrow.”
Sehun gave Lu Han his number and address.
“Great. I’ll see you tomorrow. Oh and you can have the rest of these snacks. I bought them just for you two.” Lu Han blushed a little as he handed the bag to Sehun. He quickly nodded his head goodbye before scurrying out the door.
Sehun just sat there dumbfounded until Jongin had to hit him back to reality.
“Yo, you better not mess this up. This is a golden opportunity for you.”
“But what if Kris –“
“Forget about Kris, just this once. Enjoy your date with a handsome, cute man that is clearly obviously into you. You haven’t been on a date in forever.”
“It hasn’t been forever.”
“Well it practically has been ever since you needed to get Kris’s approval on any guys that wanted to date you. Besides, you were also never interested in the guys that asked you out except for Lu Han that was off-limits for you before. But now he’s not off-limits. He’s yours for the taking so take him~!”
Sehun huffed and threw his empty water bottle at Jongin.
Lu Han nervously checked his reflection in the mirror again. He wanted to look perfect for Sehun. He couldn’t believe he finally got a date with the boy. After so long… If only Kris hadn’t been so protective but then again, he had been protective over Zitao so fair is fair.
Lu Han smiled as he checked his reflection one last time before going out the door.
He arrived 10 minutes earlier than he had said so he took his time going to the front door. He took a moment to calm his nerves before ringing the doorbell.
Jongin grinned as he opened the door and found Lu Han standing there. “Hey Lu Han, come on in, come on in. Sehun’s almost ready. Just a few last minute checks and he’ll be down in a bit. But for now, just go wait in the living room.”
“Thank Jongin.” Lu Han smiled gratefully as he went inside.
Lu Han sat on the couch, hands on his knees as he patiently and nervously waited for Sehun to come down.
Sehun walked down the stairs and paused when he saw Lu Han sitting on the couch. He took a moment to catch his breath and calm his nerves before he walked into the living room.
Lu Han stood up as soon as Sehun walked in. He smiled brightly. “Ready to go?”
Sehun nodded his head, unable to say anything when faced with Lu Han dressed so handsomely even if it was surprisingly casual, well dressy casual. He looked good in black slacks and a simple button-down and vest.
Lu Han headed towards the door, Sehun following behind.
“Stay out as late as you guys want. I won’t wait up.” Jongin smiled as he shut the door behind the two.
Lu Han smiled as he sat across Sehun at the restaurant. “So, what do you like to do besides dancing?”
“Eh…not much. I try to spend time with my brother when he has a free moment but nowadays, he’s really busy with his work and new boyfriend.”
Lu Han looked at Sehun surprised. “You have a brother?”
“Kind of. He’s more like a fraternity brother.”
“You were in a fraternity?”
“Yeah…still am. Just my brother graduated before me…”
“Ah okay. And who is your brother, if you don’t mind me asking?”
Sehun looked at Lu Han. “Are you sure you want to know?”
“Yes. I’m curious. I want to know more about you.”
Lu Han stared at Sehun. “Kris…? As in –“
“Your boss? Yeah.”
“B-b-b-but how? I’ve been friends with Kris for a long time and I don’t remember you around and if you were his brother, you would’ve been around.”
“Uh yeah…about that. Kris never really let me come over unless you were gone.”
Lu Han pouted. “And why would he do that?”
Sehun shrugged his shoulders. “I don’t know. You’ll have to ask him that.”
“Oh, I will…I will.”
The rest of the night passed by with only a bit of awkward tension. Surprisingly, Sehun enjoyed himself when he was a bit resolved not to enjoy the date (as Kris wouldn’t have approved).
Lu Han smiled as he walked Sehun to his door. “I had a great time tonight. I hope we can do this again…”
“Uh yeah…I had a great time too.” Sehun smiled down at Lu Han.
Lu Han looked down at his feet for a moment before he leaned up and placed a quick kiss on Sehun’s cheek. “I’ll see you later.” He had a slight flush to his cheeks as he left Sehun standing on his front step.
“So I take it the date went well?”
Sehun turned around to see Jongin grinning at him from the doorway.
“I thought you said you wouldn’t wait up.”
“I just happened to be going downstairs for a midnight snack when I noticed you two standing on the front step.”
“So you decided to spy on us?”
Jongin shrugged his shoulders. “So you’re going to see him again right?”
“Well yeah, he goes to the café for lunch.”
Jongin rolled his eyes. “Don’t be dense. You’re gonna go on another date with him right?”
Sehun shrugged his shoulders. “Maybe…”
“Dude, I will hit you if you don’t go out with him again. You two are perfect for each other.”
“Argh!!!” Jongin turned around and headed up the stairs back to his room.
“Hey, what about your midnight snack?”
“No longer hungry. Lost my appetite.”
Lu Han marched into Kris’s office first thing in the morning. He barely spared Zitao a glance before slamming his palms down on Kris’s desk. “Explain to me why, for two years while we were living together, I never saw Sehun, your little brother, until I had lunch at the café down the street. What were you trying to do by keeping him away from me?”
Kris arched an eyebrow. Zitao took this as his cue to leave. “Care to run that by me again?”
Lu Han huffed and sat down in a chair across from Kris. “Your little brother, Sehun. From that fraternity you were in. Not once, in the two years we lived together at college did I meet him. You never even mentioned him to me, just called him your little brother and left it at all. You ran away any time I tried to ask you more about him. Just what were you trying to do? Do you think I’m not good enough or something?”
“No, but I didn’t want him to associate with you at such an early age.”
Luhan stared at Kris. “Just what do you mean by that?”
“As in, you were floating from guy to guy during college. I was protecting my little brother from the likes of you.”
“Seriously?!?!?!? Some friend you are.” Luhan frowned and crossed his arms.
Kris narrowed his eyes. “And just what do you mean by that?”
“You figure it out for yourself.” Luhan snarled before stomping from the room. As much as he wanted to slam the door, he closed it gently before going to his office, grabbing his things, and heading home.
As soon as he got into his apartment, he went straight to his bedroom to curl up into his blankets.
It was dark when Luhan finally opened his eyes. He blearily looked around to see the blanket covering his outstretched body. He checked under the covers and noticed he was wearing his pajamas.
Luhan sat up and looked around. His eyes widened when he spotted a figure hunched over in a chair.
“S-S-Sehun-ah…?” He reached out a hand to cover one of Sehun’s on the bed.
“Xiao Lu…?” Sehun sat up and sleepily rubbed his eyes.
Luhan stared at Sehun. “What did you just call me?”
“Huh? Oh Luhan~ you’re awake. Are you feeling better?”
“Uh yes…I guess. But uh…what did you call me just now?”
Sehun blushed. “I-I called you Xiao Lu.”
“A-A-And where did you hear the nickname?”
“Uh…uh…Kris told me to call you that.”
Luhan narrowed his eyes. “And why would Kris tell you to call me that? Better yet, why are you even in my house?”
Sehun blushed an even brighter red. “Oh…uh…Kris stopped by the café and told me to come to your house. He uh he gave me the key to get in and said you wouldn’t mind.”
“Oh…so uh why are you here? You didn’t have to listen to Kris you know.” Luhan looked at Sehun skeptically.
“Oh uh…well…I-I just…Ireallylikeyou.” Sehun turned a bright red. He looked down at his hands, refusing to look at Luhan.
Luhan flushed a bit too. “I-I like you too.”
“So uh…a-are you feeling better?”
“C-c-c-can I ask you why you were bundled up in your blankets in the first place?” Sehun looked at Luhan a bit puzzled.
Luhan flushed a bit. “Oh…uh I-I may have gotten uh upset at Kris so…”
“Uh yeah, he kinda told me that.” Sehun blushed. He got up and moved to sit on the side of the bed.
Luhan scooted over to make room for him.
Sehun scooted closer and hesitantly placed an arm around Luhan’s shoulder.
Luhan froze before relaxing and leaning into Sehun. “So what else did Kris tell you?”
“Well uh…Kris told me he never introduced me to you before because he didn’t want me to be hurt by you since you uh…went from guy to guy. And he-he…” Sehun paused and looked down at his lap.
Luhan noticed pink dusting Sehun’s cheeks. “And he what?”
Sehun looked up, staring Luhan straight in the eye. “He-he knew I’d fall for you the instant I met you and wanted to spare me the pain.”
Luhan gasped. “Well…I-I can see where his concern is since I uh did…move from guy to guy. But uh…well…I would’ve stopped, actually I did stop, the moment I saw you.”
“Really?” Sehun looked at Luhan with hopeful eyes.
“Uh yeah…you could ask Kris or Jongin. They know a lot about my life without me really saying anything. Actually, they can pull information out of me which I’m not exactly happy about.”
“Hey, that’s the same with me.”
Luhan smiled at Sehun. “So uh yeah…where do we go from here?”
“Well…” Sehun reached down and intertwined their hands. “I would think the next best thing is to officially be dating, don’t you think?”
“Well yes…but –“ Luhan’s eyes widened as Sehun leaned over and placed his lips over his. He felt his heart melt at the slight contact and relaxed into the kiss.
Sehun smiled as he reached up a hand to cup the side of Luhan’s face as he slowly deepened the kiss. He pulled away after a few moments and looked at Luhan’s flushed face.
“Come on, let’s get some rest. I plan on taking you out on a proper date tomorrow.”
Luhan pouted. “A proper date? Then what would you call our dinner date?”
“I called it a meal between friends.”
Luhan frowned. “But I thought it was a date.”
Sehun grinned and placed a kiss on Luhan’s nose. “Well I don’t think it was. Now go to sleep. Tomorrow is going to be a long day.”
Luhan pouted. “Fine. But you’re sleeping with me.”
He wiggled under the covers and made room for Sehun to lie down.
The moment Sehun was lying down next to him, Luhan snuggled up into his side, his arm wrapping around Sehun’s waist and his head buried under Sehun’s chin.
“Good night, Sehun-ah.” Luhan smiled as he placed a kiss on Sehun’s cheek. He snuggled close and closed his eyes, quickly drifting to sleep.
Sehun smiled as he shifted Luhan in his embrace and fell asleep to the sound of Luhan’s gentle breathing.
“That was a nice thing you did, Kris, trying to protect Sehun but seriously, you could’ve done it better.” Zitao shook his head. “Luhan ge isn’t that bad. And he would’ve been faithful to Sehun. Actually, he is faithful to him. You had no right to try and play with them like that.”
“But I wanted to keep them both safe.” Kris pouted as he wrapped his arms around Zitao.
“Yeah, well they’re both big boys. Besides, as soon as I met them both, I knew they would be perfect. I didn’t realize it would take so long for them to get together until I found out you were the issue.” Zitao turned around and glared at Kris. “You had no right to do that.”
“But I already told you why.”
“Yes, I know which is why I’m mad at you right now.”
“Taozi~” Kris pouted and tried to look cute.
Zitao smiled. “Don’t try to act cute, it doesn’t work on you.”
He laughed as he placed a kiss on Kris’s cheek.
Kris could only stare at Zitao as he walked away, a little sway in his hips. He growled and followed Zitao into their bedroom.
A/N: what have I done to this ending? XDDDDDD but hey, finished the sequel~ ^^
