Yesung frowned as he walked down the hall towards the music room. There was something different about Ryeowook lately. He still looked smokin’ hot with his gelled hair, tight jeans, and loosely-fitted t-shirts but there was something off. He couldn’t put his finger on it.
Ryeowook was acting normal. He was still bright and cheery towards everyone, except maybe him who he acted really politely towards. But something just didn’t seem right.
Yesung turned the corner and found a crowd of people around the music room doors.
“Excuse me, excuse me. I need to get through.”
People didn’t move until some looked around and noticed Yesung standing behind them. They quickly parted, allowing Yesung to walk into the middle of the crowd.
He spotted a small group of Ryeowook’s fanclub standing nearby, crying together. He looked on the floor and felt his heart stop.
Ryeowook was lying on the ground, eyes closed, arms and legs askew. His bag had fallen to his side, a few contents spilling out.
One of the calmer fangirls stepped forward. “We’re not really sure. Ryeowook oppa was walking towards the music room when he suddenly stopped and collapsed. I think he may have fainted but we’re not sure. We were afraid to touch him in case he got hurt.”
“Has anyone gone for help?”
“Yes, but she just left a few minutes ago. It might take a while.”
Yesung looked at Ryeowook, at how still he was. But he could see his chest rising which meant he was still breathing. He sighed. “I’ll take him to the nurse then. He just fainted right? He’s still breathing so I doubt he has any major injuries.”
He walked over and gathered all of Ryeowook’s things. He threw it over his shoulder before bending down to gently pick Ryeowook up.
“Excuse me.” Everyone moved aside as Yesung headed towards the nurse’s office. He met the nurse and Ryeowook’s fanclub president along the way.
“Oh, oh…” The nurse fluttered her hands as she saw Ryeowook unconscious in Yesung’s arms. “Let’s head back to my office and I’ll look him over.” Yesung and the fanclub president followed behind.
Yesung gently placed Ryeowook on the bed before the nurse shooed the two out of the way to begin her examination.
Yesung paced around while the fanclub president sat in a seat, anxiously staring at the closed curtain.
The nurse came out a few minutes later and gave the two a smile. “He’s perfectly fine. But I noticed he’s a bit underweight actually. Is he eating properly?”
“He should be. We make sure he has a nutrious lunch everyday.” The fanclub president smiled at the nurse.
“Ah, okay. Well he’s sleeping right now. I’m just going to let him rest and then see if he’ll eat something when he wakes up. But other than that, he’s fine. You two can go to class now.”
“Okay, thank you, nurse.” The fanclub president smiled and bowed before leaving.
Yesung thanked the nurse. “Are you sure that’s the only thing wrong with Ryeowook-ssi? That he’s underweight?”
“Well, that’s all I could determine right now. And that is just a guess. He looks like he’s not eating enough. His face looks a bit sunken in.”
“Ahh okay. Well, thank you again.” Yesung bowed before he left.
“So that’s what’s wrong with him…but how to make him eat?” Yesung wandered the halls and found himself standing in front of one of the kitchens. He looked inside and smiled before walking in.
Ryeowook opened his eyes to find the nurse smiling at him.
“So how are you feeling?”
“Uh…I’m fine. But uh…what am I doing here?”
“You fainted but one of your classmates, Yesung-ssi, carried you here.”
“Oh…” Ryeowook looked down at his hands, unsure of what to think.
“Well, if you’re feeling better, drink some water and eat some of this.” The nurse smiled as she placed a tray on Ryeowook’s lap. “Also, you have a few friends waiting outside for you. Shall I let them in?”
The nurse smiled and threw the curtain aside to reveal Eunhyuk, Donghae, and Sungmin looking worriedly at Ryeowook.
“Ryeowook-ah, are you okay? We heard you fainted and rushed right over but the nurse said you were resting so we couldn’t see you but omg, are you okay?”
“Yes, yes, I’m fine.” Ryeowook gave them all a small reassuring smile.
“You won’t be for long~”
Everyone turned to look at Donghae. “What do you mean?”
Donghae grinned. “Umma isn’t here yet~”
Eunhyuk and Sungmin looked at each other with twin expressions of slight horror. “Oh shit…”
“RYEOWOOK-AH~!!!!” Leeteuk burst through the doorway and ran straight to Ryeowook, smothering him in a hug. “My baby~ are you okay? Are you feeling alright? What’s wrong with him, nurse? Why did he faint?”
“I’ve been stressed out lately and I guess it all just caught up with me.”
“Oh well, we can fix that.” Leeteuk smiled as he looked at Ryeowook. “Well get you home and then –“
“I’m sorry, but Ryeowook-ah will be coming home with me and Hannie.” Everyone turned to see Heechul grinning from the doorway. He walked over and gently removed Ryeowook from Leeteuk’s arms.
“Come on, Wookie-ah. Let’s take you home with us and we’ll take good care of you. Hannie can prepare your favorites and we’ll watch movies and talk. We can discuss Teukie’s wedding plans as well.”
“Hey~ If you’re gonna discuss wedding plans, shouldn’t Teukie be there too?”
Heechul arched a brow as he looked over at Donghae. “And who said he wasn’t?”
Heechul smiled as he lounged on the couch, taking a sip of his drink. “And so that’s how I got Hannie to propose.”
“So you really did force him to marry you.”
Heechul looked at Eunhyuk. “If you want to get technical then yes, but he loves me and would’ve proposed any way. I just speeded it up.”
“If that was speeding, then what was me and Henry getting together?”
“That was…is there a name for it?”
“Wait, how did you two get together?”
Zhoumi smiled. “We met at Hangeng ge’s birthday party. As soon as I saw Henry, I walked right up to him, gave him a big kiss, and announced that he was my new boyfriend.”
“And what did he say?” Sungmin smiled at Zhoumi.
Zhoumi winked. “I didn’t give him a chance to say anything for the next few hours besides my name.”
“Hey, hey, hey…we’re trying to keep little Wookie here innocent until he gets corrupted by Yesung.”
“Yesung?” Zhoumi looked at Heechul. “But isn’t that –“
“Uh, I doubt Wookie is that innocent anymore. I mean he’s heard stories of Eunhae doing it and he probably knows about Kangteuk.”
“Sungmin!” Leeteuk blushed.
“What?!?!? Come on, like we wouldn’t notice that hicky on your neck.”
“Hicky?!?!?!” Everyone turned to stare at Leeteuk who was covering his neck.
“Let us see, Teukie hyung. Come on, come on, come on.” Donghae jumped up and down in his seat.
“No, shouldn’t we be discussing wedding plans now?”
“After we eat.” Heechul looked towards the kitchen. “Hannie! Where’s our food?”
Hankyung smiled as he stuck his head out. “It’s coming. I’m still putting some finishing touches.”
He turned and looked at Henry. “Here, take this tray out to Ryeowook. Thank you.”
Henry nodded before lifting the tray and wandering into the living room. He placed it down in front of Ryeowook, lounging on another couch. “Here you go, Ryeowook-ah.”
“Thanks Henry.” Ryeowook smiled before digging in.
Henry nodded and smiled before going back to the kitchen to help Hankyung bring out the remaining trays of food for everyone else.
Everyone smiled as they started eating. Hankyung smiled as he came out of the kitchen and sat next to Heechul, watching everyone eat.
“Oh gawd, this is so delicious.”
“Seriously, Hankyung, you’re an amazing cook.”
“Thank you.” Hankyung smiled at Sungmin. “So how are wedding plans coming along?”
“Okay but Teukie here isn’t cooperating as nicely as I had hoped. He wants to get married as soon as possible meaning he doesn’t want a beautiful spring wedding like us.”
“Chul-ah, not everyone is like you. If they were, the world would explode in a day.” Hankyung smiled and kissed the frown on Heechul’s face. “I can only handle one of you, not a whole world full of you. I’d be overwhelmed.”
“Hmmph, well Teukie doesn’t even want a big wedding. He wants it small. We were able to get a location for him since he wants a winter wedding.” Heechul sniffled. “But he doesn’t know anything else. He just cares about being married as soon as possible.”
“Wasn’t that like you? You did force me to marry you when we could’ve waited.”
“Well I couldn’t wait. But that’s beside the point. We’re focusing on Teukie now.” Heechul turned to glare a little at Leeteuk. “Come on, Teukie, try and work with me here. I’ve been giving you all these ideas and you keep shooting them down.”
Leeteuk finished his food and looked at Heechul. “I’m sorry, Heechul-ah, but those ideas don’t really go with me and Youngwoon. They’re too extravagant for our taste. I told you I wanted something simple and small.”
Heechul threw up his arms in exasperation. “Oh well fine then. Does anyone else have any suggestions?”
“Well, I have some ideas.” Ryeowook smiled as he reached into his bag. Everyone stared as he pulled out a giant notebook crammed full of notes.
Ryeowook smiled brightly as he opened the notebook. “Alright, so first…”
Sungmin quietly got up from his spot on the floor to make his way towards the balcony. He was holding something close to his chest as he stepped out into the night air. He wandered over to the little table and chair and opened up his book. Inside was a note he had gotten earlier from his secret admirer.
He pulled out the other notes and looked at them again. They never failed to make him smile and warm his heart. He wondered who it could be.
“What do you have there?”
Sungmin looked up startled to see Heechul smiling at him. He quickly tried to hide his notes but Heechul was too quick and snatched one up. He read it and flashed Sungmin a smiled.
“Aww, our little Minnie has a secret admirer. That’s so cute. And if I’m not mistaken, I think our little Minnie is developing a little crush on said secret admirer.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Sungmin huffed as he snatched back the note and stuck it inside his book. He got up only to have Heechul stop him.
“Now, now Minnie, don’t get all huffy and whatnot. You know I and the others care about you. So why so secretive about your secret admirer?”
Sungmin shrugged his shoulders. “What’s there to tell?”
Heechul just looked at Sungmin with a raised eyebrow.
“You can stare at me all you want but you’re not gonna make me talk.”
“Fine then. Go back to sleep. We have a long day ahead of us.” Heechul motioned for Sungmin to go back in first. He silently shut the door behind them before going over to his spot next to Hankyung. He didn’t sleep until he was certain Sungmin had fallen asleep.
Ryeowook smiled as he walked behind Heechul and Leeteuk in the mall. Everyone had headed to the mall to go shop and maybe find some inspiration for Leeteuk and Kangin’s wedding. He grinned as he watched Heechul and Leeteuk argue over some decorations.
Donghae, dragging Eunhyuk along, and Sungmin had disappeared into another section of the store. Hankyung had slipped away to look at kitchenware. Zhoumi had dragged Henry off to another store for shopping. Henry had tried to drag Ryeowook with him but Zhoumi would have none of that.
“Ryeowook-ah, come give us your opinion on this. Teukie here won’t cooperate and agree with me.” Heechul waved Ryeowook over.
Ryeowook smiled and walked over to the two. A wedding decoration stood between them. He looked at the decoration then at the two of them. “Why do you want this? It doesn’t go with the theme Leeteuk finally decided on.”
“What theme? When did Leeteuk decide on a theme?”
Ryeowook rolled his eyes. “Last night when I made my suggestions for his wedding.”
“Oh right…Leeteuk liked your ideas better than mine.” Heechul huffed and crossed his arms.
“Oh Chullie umma, no one can plan a wedding like you though. You still have to organize everything. I just gave you the idea that you have to follow.” Ryeowook smiled brightly at Heechul.
“Oh fine…but you know I do better when it’s my idea. I have more creative freedom.”
“Yes but this is for Leeteuk and Kangin. It should be about them, for them. So it should be what they like.”
“Oh fine, fine, fine. Come on, we have more things to look at and buy. Then we can shop for clothes. You need some new things, Ryeowook-ah.” Heechul grinned, linking both arms with Leeteuk and Ryeowook and dragging them away.
Sungmin wandered the racks, looking at the different clothes. He liked to shop but today, he couldn’t concentrate on anything, too wrapped up in the notes from his secret admirer. They could still make him smile.
Sungmin was so lost in his thoughts, he accidentally bumped into someone.
“Oh sorry I -” Sungmin’s throat seemed to close up as he found himself staring into Kyuhyun’s eyes.
“Oh, I’m sorry.” Kyuhyun bowed his head before moving away, no sign of acknowledgment or recognition.
“Wait, uh Kyuhyun…”
Kyuhyun paused but kept his back turned.
“I-I uh…” Sungmin struggled to find the words he wanted to say.
Kyuhyun turned around and looked at Sungmin. “Yes, Sungmin-ssi?”
“I-I uh I-I w-w-want to apologize.”
“Apologize? For what?”
Sungmin flushed a little. “For-for the way I-I’ve been treating you. I-I-It’s not fair.”
“I-I just want to say sorry. And-and I’ll try to treat you nicer.”
Kyuhyun gave a small smile. “Uh thank you, Sungmin-ssi. I have to go now so I’ll see you at school. Bye.”
“Bye.” Sungmin gave a little wave. Kyuhyun nodded his head and left.
“Hey Sungmin, you ready to go?”
Sungmin looked up to see Eunhyuk smiling at him. “Uh yeah, let’s go.”
Eunhyuk raised an eyebrow. “You’re not buying anything?”
“Uh no, not really. I didn’t really find anything I wanted to buy this time.”
Eunhyuk’s eyebrow rose even higher. He pointed to a jacket on a nearby rack. “But isn’t that the jacket one you’ve been eyeing for a while?”
Sungmin glanced at it. “Not this time. I don’t think I have the money for it right now.”
Eunhyuk’s eyebrows went up even higher. “Sungmin –“
“Oh hey, look there’s the others.” Sungmin quickly walked over to the others.
