Summary: It’s been two years since Sehun and Luhan started dating yet Luhan still won’t stop the skinship with everyone. Sehun’s getting fed up and issues an ultimatum.
It’s been two years since they started dating and yet nothing has changed. Sehun glanced at his boyfriend Luhan happily chatting with Kai. They were sitting a bit closer together than normal. He caught Luhan’s hand on Kai’s thigh and sighed. When would all the skinship stop?
He knew going into this relationship Luhan’s tendency to do skinship with all their friends. He just couldn’t keep his hands to himself. Sometimes, the skinship wasn’t too bad and other times it was just a bit inappropriate. Some of those actions should only be between couples but Luhan did it with all their friends. There seemed to be no distinction between boyfriend and friend.
Actually there was a small distinction. He did more skinship with his friends than his own boyfriend and normally it was the more intimate kind of skinship too.
All of last year, Sehun tried to not let it bother him since that was the way Luhan was and he would never dream of changing Luhan since he loved him the way he was, flaws and all. But over these past few months, it started bugging him even more especially with rumors floating around about their relationship. Many people thought it had ended already or never even existed since Luhan acted like he was single.
No one knew about their dates that typically happened at one of their homes where they just relaxed on the couch watching a movie or eating in, something innocent, nothing dirty (shame on those who thought that – jk). It was only at these times did Sehun feel like he was in a real relationship. It was only then that he, Sehun, held Luhan’s undivided attention.
Sehun glanced around the table at his other friends enjoying their lunch. He looked down at his and took a small bite. He’d been losing his appetite recently, all thanks to Luhan.
“Hey Sehun-ah, how was your test this morning?”
“Huh,” Sehun glanced up to see Suho smiling at him. “Oh it was fine. It actually wasn’t as hard as I thought.”
“See? I told you studying would pay off. So what are you going to do during study hall?”
Sehun grinned. “What I always do.”
Sehun stood in the middle of the dance room, letting the music wash over him.
With the bass pumping, he moved across the dance floor, letting his body do whatever it wished. He spun, he slid, and he popped and locked whenever he felt like it.
When the music ended, he collapsed on the floor, breathing heavily.
He got up and wandered over to his bag to grab his water bottle. He glanced out the window to see Luhan playing soccer with Xiumin and a few other guys.
Luhan scored a goal and immediately raced over to hug Xiumin and place a kiss on his cheek. He was smiling brightly as he high-fived his teammates. He looked over his shoulder and saw Sehun and waved at him.
Sehun gave a small wave before turning away. He went over to the stereo and put on the music, choosing one with a heavier beat to match his emotions.
As Sehun left his class, he saw Luhan walking and talking with Lay. He noticed Luhan’s arm wrapped around Lay’s waist and how close his head was to Lay’s ear as he whispered in his ear. They stopped in front of a classroom where Luhan gave him a hug before patting Lay’s butt as he walked into his classroom.
Luhan smiled and started off towards his classroom. He saw Sehun and waved happily at him.
Sehun gave him a nod and small wave before hurrying off to his class.
Sehun was making his way to his locker when he stopped and stared to see Kai hugging Luhan from behind as he stood waiting at Sehun’s locker.
Luhan smiled and turned around, hugging Kai tightly. Kai continued to hold onto Luhan as the two were chatting.
Sehun took a few calming breaths before walking over to his locker with a smile.
“Hi Sehun. You ready to head home?”
“Just gotta grab some books. Why don’t you guys go outside and I’ll meet you there?”
“Sure.” Luhan smiled and grabbed Kai’s hand, leading him towards the school’s entrance.
Sehun stared at them before turning away in disappointment. He was grabbing books and shoving them inside his locker when he felt a comforting hand on his shoulder.
He glanced over to see Suho smiling at him.
“Are you okay?”
Sehun reached up and gave Suho’s hand a reassuring squeeze. “I’ll survive.”
“Come on, let’s go. Everyone’s probably waiting for us already.”
“Yeah…” Sehun shut his locker and followed Suho out of the building. Their friends were already gathered near the bottom of the steps.
“Hey, why are you guys always so slow?”
“Blame it on gramps here.” Sehun smiled as he pointed back towards Suho.
“Hey! I’m not that old.”
“But you are that slow.” Everyone laughed as they picked up their things and started to walk off campus.
“So anyone want to join me at the café?”
“Sorry, I gotta go home. Got stuff to take care of.” Sehun smiled and waved to his friends before rushing off home.
“Hey, wait up!” Sehun glanced behind him to see Luhan running to catch up.
“What are you doing, hyung?”
“I needed to go home too. I have work I have to do as well.”
“Uh huh.” Sehun looked at him disbelieving.
“And maybe…’cause I wanted to walk you home.”
“Sure…hyung.” Sehun smirked and started to walk, leaving Luhan to tag along behind.
“Hey, I told you wait up.” Luhan reached out and grabbed Sehun’s hand. He smiled and began to swing their arms back and forth as they walked home.
In no time, they had arrived at Sehun’s house.
“Bye-bye Sehunnie. I’ll see you tomorrow.” Luhan reached up and pecked his lips before smiling brightly and waving good-bye.
Sehun picked at his lunch as he watched his friends chat happily with each other.
Suho nudged his side. “You should eat a little something.”
Sehun glanced at Suho with a slight smile and took a bite. He looked to his right to see Luhan laughing at something Lay had said. They were sitting quite close together and Luhan’s hand was resting on Lay’s thigh.
The two looked at Kris before giggling towards each other.
Luhan smiled as he stole a bite of Lay’s lunch. Lay just shook his head and put some of his lunch on Luhan’s plate, earning a bright smile from the boy and a kiss on the cheek.
Sehun frowned and stared down at his plate. For a brief second, he felt a comforting squeeze on his shoulders and smiled a little. He ate a little bit more of his food before shoving the rest at Chanyeol who had been eyeing his meal the entire lunch period.
Sehun stood in the middle of the practice room, breathing heavily as the last notes of the song died away. He fell to the floor and closed his eyes, resting for a moment.
After a few moments, Sehun got up and wandered over to his bag. He glanced out the window and saw Luhan and Xiumin playing soccer together.
They were both chasing after the ball when Luhan tripped, falling onto Xiumin. The two got tangled as they tried to get up. Luhan laughed and kissed Xiumin’s cheek before poking him in the side. This resulted in a tickle war, ending with them lying side by side catching their breaths.
Sehun looked away and went back to his dancing, putting all his emotion into it.
Suho found Sehun lying on the floor, trying to catch his breath.
“You know you shouldn’t skip classes.”
Sehun glanced up to see Suho smiling at him, holding out his water bottle to him.
“Thanks hyung. And I just needed a break.”
Suho put his stuff down and sat next to Sehun. “Problems again?”
“You could say that.”
“I thought things were good.”
“They were I guess, I mean, nothing’s changed and yet everything’s changed. Have you heard the rumors?”
“Yeah, I did. But they’ve always been around.”
“Yeah but now they’re there constantly. It’s all getting to be too much. And I’m getting sick and tired of it.”
“So what are you going to do then? You need to figure out something soon. You can’t let it keep doing this to you. You’re not eating anymore and burning more calories with all the dancing you’re doing. You’re gonna waste away.”
“Don’t worry. I’ll figure something out, okay? Let’s just go. Everyone’s probably already waiting again.”
“Yep. Do you need to stop by your locker?”
“Nah, I can go one night without my stuff especially if I skipped class. I won’t know what assignments to do.”
“Alright, let’s go.” Suho got up and held out a hand to help Sehun up.
The two left school to join their friends.
Sehun quietly sipped his bubble tea as he watched Chanyeol tease Kai. Baekhyun and Tao were talking about some latest fashion trend.
He glanced over to see Luhan practically staring unabashedly at Kris who was quietly sipping his coffee. Luhan poked Lay in the side and whispered something in his ear before turning back to stare at Kris.
Sehun pouted a little before drinking his bubble tea.
When he’d finished his drink, he quietly stood up to go toss it in the trash. He went back to get his things and left the shop after giving a brief good-bye to Suho, Chen, and D.O.
He’d barely gotten a meter away from the shop when someone bumped into him.
“Hey, Sehun, where are you going?”
“I’m going home. Go back inside, hyung.”
“Aww Sehun, why didn’t you tell me you wanted to leave? I would’ve gone with you. Just wait a moment for me to get my things and then we’ll go.”
“No it’s fine, hyung. Go back and hang out with everyone. I gotta go home. I’ll see you later.” Sehun gave Luhan a brief hug before rushing off, leaving Luhan standing in front of the entrance looking confused.
Sehun let the music wash over him. He let his mind go and moved his body to the music, moving across the floor in smooth motions.
He let out all his emotions, dancing furiously, putting his heart and soul into it.
He fell to the floor, out of breath as the song ended.
He looked up when he heard someone clapping. He saw Luhan standing by the doorway, holding a bag and a drink.
“That was great.” Luhan smiled as he walked into the room and dropped down next to Sehun. “Here you go. You skipped lunch so I brought you something.”
Sehun took the bag and drink and set it aside. “What are you doing here, hyung?”
“You know I’ve never seen you dance like that before. There was so much emotion in it. So want to tell me why you skipped lunch?”
“I was thinking of a new dance routine that I wanted to try out. Sorry, I missed lunch and thanks for bringing it to me. Now don’t you have to head to class?”
“Actually – oh hey, look it’s Kris.” Luhan stood up, smiling, and went over to the window to wave at Kris.
Kris looked over with a smile and wave. Luhan’s smile widened and he turned back around to find Sehun missing.
“Sehun?” Luhan glanced around but saw Sehun’s stuff still there. “Hmm…I guess he went to the bathroom. Oh well…” Luhan shrugged his shoulders, grabbed his things, and left.
Sehun stepped out of the closet and sat on the floor near his things. He opened the bag and began to eat the food.
Things had gone on long enough. It was time to set things right.
Sehun quickly gathered his things and went to Luhan’s locker to wait for him.
Luhan showed up a few minutes later with Lay and Kris.
“Sehun! What a surprise.”
“Hi Lay hyung, Kris hyung. Luhan hyung, I was wondering if we could walk home together.”
“Sure, but don’t we normally do that?” Luhan tilted his head, staring at Sehun.
“Can you get your things so we can leave now?”
“Uh sure. I’ll see you guys tomorrow.” Luhan smiled and waved to Lay and Kris before turning to grab his things from his locker. He shut it and followed Sehun from school.
“Hey Sehun, what’s up?”
“Come on, let’s just go to your house.” Sehun reached for Luhan’s hand and proceeded to practically drag him back to Luhan’s house.
“Sehun, Sehun-ah, what’s wrong with you? Why are you rushing?”
“Unlock the door, hyung.” Sehun tapped his foot impatiently as he waited for Luhan to open the door.
The door had barely closed behind him when Sehun let loose.
“What are we doing together, Luhan? You don’t need me as a boyfriend.”
“What are you talking about, Sehun-ah? Of course, I need you as a boyfriend.”
“No, you don’t. You don’t need me for anything. You already have what you need.”
“What are you talking about?”
Sehun wandered into the living room and caught sight of a picture of Luhan and Kris.
“You like Kris better than me, don’t you? You’re always talking about how handsome he is, how model-like he is. He’s your first choice for anything like whenever we play a game, you’d choose him first.”
“That’s not true, Sehun-ah.”
“Oh don’t lie to me, Luhan hyung. I’ve caught you staring at him unabashedly several times. You want him in your pants. You think he’s more handsome than me.”
Sehun ran a frustrated hand through his hair.
“And what about Lay? Hmmm? You’re always playing with him more than me. You have all these inside jokes and stuff with him. I know you’ve known him for a long time; he’s your best friend. But why can you do certain stuff with him and not me? Aren’t I your best friend too? Why do you have to keep this separate? Yes, I know there should be a line but you’re too close to him. It’s like I don’t matter to you or you don’t really need me as a best friend either.”
“And what about Xiumin? You’re always playing soccer together which is fine with me since he’s your favorite soccer buddy but all the hugging and everything else. I don’t think it’s necessary but whatever. Why don’t you ever ask me to play soccer with you two? Did it ever cross your mind? Probably not. I think you like the one-on-one playing you get with Xiumin. More time to flirt.”
Luhan opened his mouth to say something but Sehun wouldn’t let him get another word in.
“And Kai? Who used to be my best friend. You’re more interested in him than me. You’re spending more time with him than me, doing the things we used to do. I guess I was a substitute for him whenever he wasn’t available.”
Sehun stopped pacing to look at Luhan.
“What was I to you? Did I even matter to you? Or were you just dangling me on a line? Taking pity on a young boy who loved you?”
Luhan could only stare horrified at Sehun. “What’s the matter with you, Sehun-ah? Why are you acting like this? I told you when we first started going out, I have a tendency for skinship.”
“Yes, which is why for a year I never said anything about it. But now it’s too much. Have you heard people at school? They’re saying you’re single again or were single all along. You were just playing that boyfriend card to get rid of your admirers for a while so you could play around with your friends. Most people think your boyfriend is imaginary. They don’t even realize that it was me. The guys are gonna try to get you, groping you, doing whatever they wish since you have such an ‘open’ personality.” Sehun sneered the word ‘open’.
“Well I hope you’re happy. Since I think this is what you wanted in the first place. I was never meant to be anything but a cover so you could have some peace and quiet while you had your fun with our friends.”
“No, Sehun-ah, that’s not true.” Luhan grabbed at his arm but Sehun just threw it off.
“I’m not listening to any of your excuses. I’m leaving.” Sehun walked to the front door and put his shoes on.
“Before I go, I’ll just tell you one thing. If you really do want me like you’d told me two years ago, then promise me that you’ll be faithful to me and me alone. No more skinship with anyone. I want all of you or none of you.”
Sehun turned around and stared deep into Luhan’s eyes. “I love you; I’ve always loved you since that moment I met you but I won’t be your last choice, your backup. I have to be first just like you were first for me.”
Sehun opened the door. “Good bye, Luhan-ssi.”
The door closed with a heavy thud. Luhan stood standing there, staring, unsure of what had just transpired but feeling like a part of him had left him…for good.
“Hey, where’s Sehun? Isn’t he eating lunch?”
Baekhyun looked at the empty chair confused.
“This is the third time he’s skipped this week. What’s up with him?”
“Hey, is he in the dance room again?”
“No, I passed by it on my way to lunch and it was empty.”
“Then where is he?” Kai smiled at Suho who came walking over to the table. “Hey Gramps, where’s Sehun? He hasn’t been to lunch for three days now.”
“I’m not sure. He’s at school I know that. Saw him this morning but I don’t know where he is now. He’s not in the dance room?”
“Nope. Tao passed it on his way here and said it was empty.”
“Hmmm…strange. Hey Luhan, you have any idea?”
“Huh? What?” Luhan looked up from his lunch to look dazedly at Suho.
“Do you know where Sehun is?”
Luhan looked at Kai with listless eyes. “Sehun…? No, no idea.”
“Why not? Isn’t he your boyfriend?”
“Boyfriend? No, no, I don’t have a boyfriend anymore.”
“What?!?!” Everyone stopped what they were doing to stare at Luhan.
“When did that happen?!?!”
“Why didn’t you tell us, hyung?!?!?”
“Hmm…what? Oh, we broke up three days ago.” Luhan looked back at his food, pushing it around with his spoon.
“Three days ago?!!?”
“Why didn’t you tell us, hyung?”
“Why would you guys break up? You were perfect for each other.”
Everyone looked at Luhan, waiting for a response. Lay poked his side.
Luhan glanced at them. “I don’t know. Wait, no, I do know. He got tired of me.”
“What?!?! Tired of you?!!? But-but-but-“
The bell signaling the end of lunch interrupted their interrogation. Luhan got up and like a zombie, shuffled out of the cafeteria.
“You’ll keep an eye on him, Lay?”
“Of course.” Lay grabbed Luhan's and his things and quickly rushed after the boy.
“I can’t believe Sehun got tired of Luhan. Is that even possible?”
“I didn’t think so, given the way Sehun would go on and on about Luhan. I wonder what happened.”
“Poor Luhan, he doesn’t seem to be taking it well. I’ve never seen him like that. He’s so -“
“- lifeless. Not at all the bubbly Luhan hyung we know. He must really care about Sehun if their break-up did this to him. I wonder where Sehun is and how he’s doing.”
“I don’t know. Maybe we can ask him later in class. You have a class with him, right Tao?”
“Yeah, I’ll see what I can find out.”
Sehun sat in class, absorbed in the teacher’s lecture. He felt someone tap his shoulder and took the note they passed him.
Hey, what happened to you and Luhan?
We broke up. Didn’t he tell you?
At lunch today but why’d you break up? You’re perfect for each other.
No, we’re not. Now if you don’t mind, I’d like to pay attention to the lecture, Kungfu Panda
Tao pouted and tucked the note away. He stealthily took out his phone and texted Baekhyun.
He won’t talk.
Then we’ll make him.
Sehun rushed from class to his locker. He quickly grabbed his things and shut his locker to find Tao and Baekhyun smiling at him.
Tao and Baekhyun looked at each other and nodded before each grabbing a hold of Sehun.
“Hey, what are you guys doing?” Sehun struggled to get free but found himself basically being dragged towards wherever Tao and Baekhyun were taking him.
He was placed in a chair next to Luhan. Luhan gave him a small smile and wave that Sehun ignored. He turned his head away and looked at his group of friends.
“What’s going on? Why am I sitting next to Luhan-ssi?”
A gasp could be heard from Baekhyun, Chen, and D.O.
“Luhan-SSI? Since when did you get so formal?”
“Look, can you get to the point? I need to go home and do work. If you’re just gonna waste my time, I’m gonna leave.” Sehun started to stand up but was pushed back into his seat. He glanced over his shoulder to see Kris standing behind him with a hand on his shoulder. Sehun frowned and crossed his arms.
“Alright, get on with it.”
“Why’d you two break up?”
“Is that what this is about?” Sehun scoffed. “Stop wasting my time. I’m out of here.” Sehun stood up, grabbing his bag, and walked away.
“Hey, where do you think you’re going?” Kai reached out and grabbed Sehun’s arm.
Sehun looked at Kai with distain. “Home.” He shook his arm off and walked away without a backwards glance.
“What was that?!?!”
“I have half a mind to go after him and hit him. What’s with the attitude?”
“Luhan, are you okay?”
Everyone turned back to see Luhan staring at Sehun’s retreating form with unshed tears in his eyes.
“It’s all my fault that he’s like this. I’m sorry.” Luhan grabbed his stuff and rushed off, leaving the ten of them staring after him.
“I’ll go after him and make sure he’s okay.” Lay grabbed his bag and quickly rushed after Luhan.
“Anyone else clueless as to what had just happened?”
“Good. Didn’t want to be the only one.” Everyone watched Lay catch up to Luhan and try to engage him in conversation while walking several meters behind Sehun who had his headphones on, unaware of his surroundings.
“Come on, Luhan, cheer up. You’ve been like this for two weeks now.” Lay poked Luhan’s cheek who just mumbled a reply.
Luhan continued to poke at his lunch.
“You’ve lost weight and there are darker circles under your eyes than Tao.”
“What? It’s true. Look at him.”
“Come on, Lulu. You can’t still be mopey over Sehun.”
“I can and will.” Luhan looked up and pouted before looking back down at his food.
“But why? What do you have to be upset about?”
Luhan looked up in shock. “You’re seriously asking that? Sehun dumped me. And refuses to speak to me. Any time I try, he just ignores me and if I touch him, he looks at me with such disgust on his face. Do you know how much that hurts? Knowing he hates me and it’s all my fault?”
“How is it your fault, hyung? What did you do?”
“I-I- You all know I have a skinship issue.”
“Yeah, you love to touch any and everyone. What does that - oh…” Kai looked at Luhan with sympathy. “He got fed up, didn’t he?”
Luhan sadly nodded his head.
“Aww, hyung.” Kai placed an arm around Luhan’s shoulder and gave him a hug.
“So what are you going to do to get him back?”
“Get him back?” Luhan looked at Baekhyun puzzled.
“You do want him back, right?”
Luhan nodded his head fervently. “I love him.”
“Then get him back.”
Luhan sighed. “It’s not that easy.”
“He wants me to promise to not do skinship with anyone. He says he wants all of me or none of me.”
“And you can’t promise that even though you love him?”
Luhan sadly shook his head.
“And why not?”
Luhan just stared at his food.
“Hmph, maybe Sehun was right to dump you. He deserves someone better, hyung.”
“But…” Luhan, tears filling his eyes, bottom lip quivering, looked at Tao.
“But what, hyung? If you really loved him, you’d stop the skinship with everyone else. The reason you have a boyfriend is so he can fill all your desires. If you want to touch someone, you touch him, not some other person. A boyfriend is there to take care of you; he’s supposed to be your everything. He does whatever he can to make you happy.”
“But a relationship is a two-way operation, give and take. You took but never gave, hyung. And that’s another reason why he left. He still loves you but he can’t be the only one that cares.” Suho stood up from the table, grabbed his things, and left.
Luhan pouted, letting his head fall to rest on his arms. “What do I do? I need my Hunnie back.”
“Then get him back. Think, hyung. How can you get Sehun back?”
“I-I don’t know. I’ve never had to get someone back. It’s the first time someone’s actually dumped me.”
Everyone at the table sighed.
“Luhan, you’re not helping, you know?”
“I know but…” Luhan looked at them with a teary expression. “I want my Sehunnie back.” He burst into tears, burying his face into Lay’s shoulder.
“Hey Kai, you’re Sehun’s best friend. Maybe you know how to fix this.”
“Nope, I get no part in this. If Luhan wants Sehun back, he needs to do it his way. We shouldn’t help since it’s their issue. Luhan’s gotta figure out what he wants to do. Once he does, we’ll help.” Kai smiled and hugged Luhan. “Don’t worry, hyung. You’ll figure it out.”
“Yeah, listen to your heart.”
“If you can’t do that, then listen to your head. It might steer you in the right direction for now.”
“Thanks guys.” Luhan gave them a grateful smile before grabbing his things and heading to class.
Luhan spent most of the next few days thinking things over. His friends weren’t sure if this was an improvement over his moping since he still neglected the basic necessities.
“Uh Luhan? You okay?”
“Huh?” Luhan shook away the remnants of his daydream to look at Lay. “Oh I’m fine. Just thinking about things.”
“You’ve been ‘thinking’ for like the last four days. How much more thinking can you be doing?”
“I want everything to be perfect. I can’t afford any mistakes when the stakes are this high.” Luhan pouted and rested his head on top of his arms. “I have so many different scenarios planned out but I don’t know which one would be best.”
“Just do the one Sehun would like. You do know what Sehun likes right?”
Luhan frowned. “I thought I did then he broke up with me.”
“Have you done any soul-searching, Luhan? Maybe that’ll help.” Kris looked up from his book at Luhan with a slight smile.
“Soul-searching?” Luhan looked puzzled.
“Yeah, some self reflection. Look back at your time together. Think about all that happened and where things might have changed and such like that. All that deep mumbo jumbo those two seem interested in.” Chen smiled, pointing at Tao and Kris.
“So what have you figured out, hyung? Anything we can help with?”
“Not yet. I still have some things to take care of. I’ll see you guys later.” Luhan grabbed his bag and rushed off to the library for some peace and quiet.
He wandered in and found an empty cubicle. He rested his head in his hands and thought some more.
He decided to write down his ideas since they were starting to crowd his head. He leaned down to rummage in his bag and noticed a familiar bag next to his.
Sehun glanced up from his work to find Luhan staring at him. He blinked before quickly and quietly packing up his things and moving away.
Luhan stared after him, feeling his heart being ripped from his chest. He closed his eyes, trying to keep his emotions from showing, and hid his head in his arms.
Lay found him some moments later and said nothing. He helped gather up Luhan’s things and led him out of the library to a secluded spot on campus.
“Care to discuss it with me, Lulu?”
Luhan petulantly shook his head. “I didn’t realize he could be so cruel. He always seemed so happy and cute. I can’t believe I did this to him. How could he take me back after what I did to him?” Luhan cried into Lay’s shoulder.
“I miss my Sehunnie. Only with him, could I just relax and be content. I never did much skinship with him since I was afraid of tainting him. I didn’t want to scare him. He’s just so adorable and sexy at the same time I can barely stop myself from touching him.”
Luhan looked at the ground dejectedly. “I’ve ruined everything. He was the best thing that could have ever happen to me. I didn’t think someone like him could ever like someone like me. I felt so dirty compared to him. He’s so pure and good. How will I ever get him back?”
“I’m so sorry for the things I did to him. If I could take back those instances of skinship, I would. But I only did them with everyone else ‘cause I was afraid of touching him.”
“But he was your boyfriend. You realize you were only suppose to touch him.”
“Yeah but I’d never been in a relationship like that. It was actually serious compared to the others I had just for fun. What am I going to do, Yixing?”
“I thought you had it all figured out. Isn’t that why you spent the rest of the lunch period in the library?”
“That was my plan but I ended up running into Sehun while I was there so…”
“Ah…okay. That explains it. Come on, Lulu. Let’s get going. We’ve missed most of our afternoon classes now. Let’s grab our books and go to the café. We’ll order your fav and cheer you up.”
“But-but that’s bubble tea…” Luhan’s bottom lip quivered.
“Oh right, sorry, Lulu. Let’s just take you home instead, okay? You’ve had a somewhat exhausting day.”
Luhan just nodded and followed Lay from school.
“I need your help.”
Everyone looked up from their lunch to see Luhan looking at them with a serious expression.
“What did you need us to do, hyung?” D.O. smiled at Luhan.
“Just make sure you get Sehun to come here. That’s it.” Luhan smiled at them, dropping a piece of paper on the table before walking away.
Kai snatched up the paper before anyone else could grab it. “Where is this place?”
D.O. snatched the note and passed it over to Suho. He read it and smiled.
“Just leave it to me.”
Suho smiled as he watched Sehun dance his heart out. He waited until the song ended before making his presence known.
“Good job, Sehun. Gonna use that at your next competition?”
“Maybe. What are you doing here, hyung?”
“I just wanted to see you’re doing. Everyone misses you at lunch.”
Sehun shrugged as he went over to his bag and grabbed his towel and water bottle.
“Can you come with me after school? There’s some place I want to show you.”
Sehun looked at Suho puzzled. “What place?”
“Just come with me. Please? We’ve barely gotten to chat since you’ve gone into hiding from Luhan.”
Sehun sighed. “Fine, hyung. I’ll meet you at the entrance.”
“No good. I’ll meet you at your locker, alright? And don’t try to skip out on me.”
“Sure, sure, hyung. Whatever you say.”
Suho smiled. “Good. See ya later, Sehun-ah.”
“Yeah, bye, gramps.”
Sehun chuckled at Suho’s frown.
Suho was waiting at Sehun’s locker when Sehun walked up to get his things.
“You’re early, hyung.”
“Didn’t want to give you the chance to sneak out.”
“Like I would do that hyung.”
“You’ve done it every day for the past few weeks.”
“True. So where’s this place you wanted me to go to?”
“Just follow me.”
Suho led Sehun to a building several blocks away.
“What’s so special about this place, hyung?”
Suho said nothing but motioned Sehun to come over towards a door on the side. “In here.”
Suho opened the door and pushed Sehun inside before quickly shutting the door.
“Suho hyung? What’s going on?” Sehun turned around and tried the handle but found it locked. He had no choice but to go forward.
He turned around and found a string of lights to lead the way. He walked down the hallway and ended up in an auditorium.
Sehun looked at the stage to see Luhan standing in the spotlight.
“I’m sorry I hurt you, more sorry than you could ever know. And I promise you that I won’t do skinship with anyone except you.”
Sehun stared at Luhan not sure if he could believe what he was hearing.
“I love you, Sehun-ah, with all my heart. Please, can I be your boyfriend again?” Luhan looked at Sehun with pleading hopeful eyes.
Sehun carefully made his way down the aisle towards the stage. He stood in front of Luhan looking deep into his eyes.
He searched his face, trying to find a hint of lies but saw nothing but hopeful truth shining out at him.
“Why, hyung? Why me?”
Luhan took a deep breath and stared hard into Sehun’s eyes. “Because you’re the only one that completes me. I’m not whole without you. You can ask our friends about me for the past two weeks. I’ve been miserable without you, a shell of a man. Please take me back. I know I don’t deserve you but I love you, Sehun.”
Luhan got down on his knees in front of Sehun. “I’m begging you.”
Sehun stared down at Luhan in shock. “What are you doing?”
“I’m begging you to take me back. I need you, Sehun. Please, please…”
Sehun got down on his knees before Luhan and cupped his cheek. “Tell me.”
“I love you, Sehun-ah. Only you.”
“And I love you, Luhan.” Sehun smiled before leaning in and placing a kiss on Luhan’s waiting lips.
The two broke apart when they heard cheers from the back of the auditorium. The house lights turned on to reveal all their friends standing in the back.
“Yay! Everything’s back to the way it was.”
“It took you two weeks to think of this, hyung?” Kai scoffed. “It was kinda lame as far as confessions go.”
“Hey! I did my best considering it’s my first and hopefully only time.”
Lay smiled as he stepped on stage. “I have a congratulatory gift for Sehun.” Lay held out a small box to Sehun who took it with a puzzled expression.
“What is it?”
Lay smiled. “Open it and see.”
Sehun opened the box and stared at the mini recorder. Lay reached over and pulled it out. He pressed the play button and smiled as Luhan’s voice came out over the speakers. It was the conversation Lay and Luhan had from a few days ago.
Luhan covered his face in embarrassment as Sehun stood there shocked.
“How the hell did you get that?”
Lay smiled brightly. “I have my ways.”
“How could you do that, Yixing?” Luhan buried his face into Sehun’s chest.
“Aww, Lulu, I was just trying to help you out. I knew you’d never tell him these things yourself. And I think it’d be better for your relationship if he knew the truth about the skinship.” Lay handed the recorder to Sehun. “Here, keep it safe.”
“No, delete it.” Luhan made a grab for it but Sehun held it out of reach. Luhan jumped to try and grab it but Sehun just wrapped his arm around Luhan and bent down to kiss him.
“By the way, even if you delete that, I have more copies so if you ever lose it Sehun, just let me know and I’ll make you a new one.” Lay smiled happily as he walked away.
Everyone stared at Lay. “Did anyone else know about this?”
“I always thought Lay was a mystery and he’s just proved it. He’s probably not even from this world.”
“Come on, let’s just go and leave the lovebirds alone.”
“Anyone down to go clubbing tonight? In celebration of the lovebirds of course.”
“Eh, why not? After what those two put us through, we deserve a night of relaxation and fun.”
Sehun tilted Luhan’s face back to his. “Want to go join them?”
Luhan smiled. “Nope. I have other plans in mind.” He reached down and grabbed Sehun’s hand, taking him back to his place for their own kind of relaxation.
A/N: my second EXO fic featuring Sehun/Luhan ^^ hopefully it’s okay
Hope the angst type part was okay O_O I’m not much of an angst type of writer :T but the story called for it
Thought I’d have a bit of fun at the expense of all those images of Luhan touching the other members (hugs, hearts, etc.)
And I will admit this also had a hand in the making of this fic (as inspirationg XD)
