For my dongsaeng minti_panda93 :D Happy Birthday!
A knock sounded at their bedroom door. Kyuhyun glanced away from his comp.
“Come in.” Ryeowook entered and smiled.
“Hey Sungmin hyung. Can you help me with something?”
Sungmin looked up from his guitar and smiled. “Sure, if you help me.”
Ryeowook smiled. “Of course, hyung.” Sungmin placed his guitar down and followed Ryeowook to his room.
Kyuhyun turned back to his game and resumed playing.
“Time for dinner!” Kyuhyun glanced at the clock on his desk. His eyes widened in surprise. How did so much time past? He looked around and noticed Sungmin hadn’t come back to their room. He walked out to find Sungmin and Ryeowook talking together at the table. He smiled at them before taking a seat. Sungmin barely spared him a glance. Kyuhyun inwardly frowned but smiled when someone talked to him.
For the next two weeks, Sungmin and Ryeowook spent every moment together. Whenever Kyuhyun stumbled upon them, they always had their heads together, giggling and whispering like little school girls. They went out a lot that Kyuhyun almost never saw Sungmin anymore, and they were roommates. At first, Kyuhyun thought nothing of it but as time past on and he saw less and less of Sungmin, he began to worry and grow a little jealous of Ryeowook for monopolizing all of Sungmin’s time.
Kyuhyun was sitting on the couch playing a game when Sungmin and Ryeowook stumbled in, laughing. They had tons of bags with them. They barely spared Kyuhyun a glance and rushed off to Ryeowook’s bedroom. Yesung came out a few minutes later, hair disheveled and grumpy expression on his face. He slumped next to Kyuhyun on the couch.
“It’s all your fault.”
“What?” Kyuhyun looked over at his hyung, a look of disbelief on his face.
“I said it’s all your fault. If only you did your job, Ryeowook would be spending all his free time with me instead of Sungmin. Ever since Sungmin came into my room to talk with Wookie, I haven’t had a chance to spend any time with him.”
“Yeah well I haven’t seen Sungmin since Ryeowook came into my room and asked Sungmin for help.”
Yesung crossed his arms and huffed. He’d never gone this long without any attention from his Wookie and it was making him cross.
Kyuhyun sighed and left the couch to go to his room for some peace but when he got there, he found it locked. He knocked and waited for a few moments. He heard giggles and feet shuffling before Sungmin opened the door, hair disheveled like he had just been having sex. Kyuhyun caught a glimpse of Ryeowook putting his shirt back on.
“Kyu?” Kyuhyun stared at Sungmin then Ryeowook then back at Sungmin. His eyes widened really wide and then he bolted out of the dorm.
“Kyu? Kyuhyun? KYUHYUN!!!” Sungmin ran to the door to catch Kyuhyun but he was already gone.
Ryeowook came up behind his hyung and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. “I’m sorry hyung. I didn’t mean to -”
“No, it’s alright Wookie. I’ll explain to him later. Come on, we still have things to plan.”
Kyuhyun ran to the nearby park and collapsed onto a nearby bench.
He tried to regain his breath. “What am I doing? Why did I just run out of there? Nothing bad happened? I mean I just saw Sungmin and Ryeowook together in our room. They weren’t doing anything. Just because I saw Ryeowook putting on his shirt doesn’t mean they did anything. Besides why should I care if they did anything? It’s not like I have…uh…feelings for Sungmin hyung.” Kyuhyun stuck his head between his legs. “No that’s not true. I don’t have feelings for Sungmin hyung. No way, no how. There’s no way I could like a guy, not even as cute as him, or as adorable, or as…” Kyuhyun’s eyes widened as it dawned on him. “I-I like Sungmin hyung. I like Sungmin hyung.” His heart felt lighter each time he said that but he frowned when another realization dawned on him. His face hardened. He got up from the bench and stalked back to the dorm.
As soon as he walked through the door, someone grabbed him and dragged him to their room.
He turned to see who his captor was and saw it was Ryeowook. He crossed his arms and glared at the smaller boy. He didn’t even flinch which was amazing since Kyuhyun knew he had a formidable glare.
“Look, Kyuhyun, let me explain everything first before you say or do anything you may regret.”
Kyuhyun looked at Ryeowook before settling himself in a chair. “Alright, explain.”
Ryeowook wringed his hands together. “Alright…okay…so…I asked Sungmin hyung to help me with something, remember?” Kyuhyun nodded his head. “Well I wanted his opinion on how I was going to get Yesung hyung. I had a plan set out but Sungmin tweaked it and even helped me set it all up. We’ve been so busy working on the plan, buying stuff and whatnot that we didn’t realize it was going to make you two jealous, which is actually an added bonus but anyway, what you saw earlier, that was just me trying something on for Sungmin. I wanted his opinion and he told me to put it on. There’s nothing going on between us other than friendship. Please don’t get upset or anything.”
Kyuhyun looked at Ryeowook. He was standing there, all nervous and slightly fidgety. “Now you’re sure that’s all that was going on between you two?”
“Yes, if you don’t believe me, go talk to Sungmin yourself.”
“Alright.” Kyuhyun stood up and walked to the door. He turned back around with a slight smile on his face. “Ryeowook, were you planning on dressing like a cute little reindeer for Yesung hyung?”
Ryeowook blushed. “How-how did you know?”
Kyuhyun smiled. “That bag over there.” He pointed to the bag, not carefully hidden behind the bed, and walked out of the room. He glanced into the living room and saw that Leeteuk had gotten Kangin to dress as Santa. Kyuhyun saw that Umma was kissing Santa Claus.
Kyuhyun turned his head away and walked to his room. He opened the door, walked in, and then paused.
A present stood in the middle of their bedroom. Kyuhyun walked over to the box and looked at the note attached to it.
Please take good care of this for me. Love it with all your heart. Love, Sungmin
Kyuhyun stared at the note before looking at the box. He lifted the lid. His eyes widened as he stared at Sungmin sitting in the box dressed as a very adorable reindeer.
Sungmin stood up and smiled at Kyuhyun. “You like your gift?”
“No.” Sungmin pouted. “I love my gift. I’ll take such good care of it. Come here, little Minnie.” Kyuhyun sat on his bed and patted his leg, signaling to Sungmin to sit on his lap. Sungmin hesitantly got out of the box and went over to Kyuhyun. Kyuhyun wrapped his arms around Sungmin’s waist and pulled him onto his lap, holding him close.
“Do you really like your gift, Kyuhyun?”
“Of course. What’s not to like? I get you for Christmas.” Kyuhyun smiled brightly at Sungmin, making tears come to his eyes. “What’s the matter, Minnie?”
“I-I love you, Kyu. I planned all this out to confess but you completely ruin it by confessing first, right?” Sungmin looked at Kyuhyun with a mix of hope and doubt.
Kyuhyun smiled at Sungmin. “Aww, you’re too cute, Sungmin. I appreciate you planning all this out but it wasn’t necessary.”
“Yes it was.” Sungmin pouted. “It’s Christmas. I wanted to do something special to show my love for you.”
“Well you did and I love it. I love you too, Minnie.” Kyuhyun leaned down and kissed the breath out of Sungmin. They pulled away, smiling.
Sungmin leaned back into Kyuhyun’s arms. “I think this is the best Christmas yet.”
“I know it is.”
Sungmin smiled up at him. “Merry Christmas, Kyu.”
Kyuhyun smiled and pulled Sungmin closer. He placed a kiss on his forehead. “Merry Christmas, Minnie.”
