Summary: The boys used to pick on the girls when they were little kids. Then the girls moved away, overseas for a few years. When they came back, things had changed…in more ways than one.
Kangin was walking past the dance studio when he heard music playing. He decided to peek inside to see what the guys were up to and spotted Leeteuk dancing with Hankyung.
Leeteuk was dancing close to Hankyung, a little too close to Kangin’s liking. He watched as Leeteuk ran her hands over Hankyung’s chest before pushing him away. Hankyung pulled her back to him and swung her around, keeping a hold of her waist. He spun her out and pulled her in. They bent together, Hankyung running his hand up and down her leg. He spun her out again and pulled her close, faces almost touching.
That was the last straw. Kangin burst into the room and pulled Leeteuk away from Hankyung, shielding her behind him.
Kangin growled. “Don’t you dare touch her like that ever again or so help me, my foot will be shoved up your ass.”
“Kangin! Kangin! We were just dancing. You didn’t have to ruin it.”
“Yeah, they were just practicing. Now they have to start all over again.”
“WHAT?!?!” Kangin looked at Sungmin. “What did you say?”
“I said they have to start all over again. Whenever one of us mess up or we get interrupted, we have to start all over again to get it perfect.”
Kangin’s eyes widened. They were going to do all that AGAIN!?!?!?! No way, no way, no way!
He pulled Leeteuk out of the dance studio, ignoring all the protests, to an empty classroom several doors down.
“What is your problem, Kangin? You can’t just pull me from class without an explanation.”
“I don’t like it.” Kangin crossed his arms and frowned at Leeteuk.
“Don’t like what?”
“I don’t like it.”
Leeteuk rolled her eyes. “Okay, if you’re just going to act like a little kid, I’m leaving.” She had her hand on the doorknob when she was whirled around.
“I don’t like Hankyung touching you like that. You’re mine and mine alone. Only I can do that.”
Leeteuk removed Kangin’s hand from her wrist and looked at him with distain. “I’m sorry but the last time I checked, I belonged to no one. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to get back to class where I was so rudely pulled out of by a big jealous child.” Leeteuk opened the door and left Kangin in the room, completely shocked and slightly aroused.
Hankyung was walking to his locker when he noticed a couple talking in a corner. He would have past over them if the girl didn’t resemble Heechul so much. He backtracked and stared. His eyes widened in surprise. It was Siwon and Heechul! What were they doing together?
“Help me out here, Siwon.”
“I’m sorry but why should I help you, Heechul?”
“If you help me, I’ll help you with Kibum.”
Siwon’s eyes widened. “What? How do you know I need help? Besides, I don’t need your help. I can get her fine on my own.”
Heechul smirked. “Oh really? ‘Cause I was thinking, if you helped me with Hankyung, I could give you the inside scoop on Kibum.”
“Really? Wait no. I don’t want to know. I will win her fair and square.”
Heechul shrugged. “Okay…if that’s what you really want…I’ll just get going then.” She turned away, upset and disappointed. “I knew I shouldn’t have wasted my time with a goody-two shoes like him but it was worth a try.” Heechul walked away, completely caught up in her own thoughts, she didn’t see where she was going and bumped into someone.
“Oww, watch where you’re going – Hankyung?!?!? What are you doing here? I mean how was your day?” Heechul ran her hands along his arm.
Hankyung removed her hand from his arm. “My day was fine. I was just on my way to my locker. What were you doing, talking to Siwon?”
“Oh, Siwon and I were just discussing something.” Hankyung raised an eyebrow. “It’s not important. Hey, do you think you can walk me home? It’s not a good idea for a pretty girl like me to wander around the streets by herself.”
Hankyung sighed. “Alright. Come on.” He held his arm out and Heechul immediately latched on, clinging to his side. He winced a little when Heechul’s claws dug into his arm. Heechul just smiled sweetly up at him. He sighed again. It was going to be a long walk home…
“Come on. You can do it. Don’t be afraid.” Kyuhyun stared at it. “Just pick it up.” His hand reached out and grabbed the device. “That’s it. Alright, now that you have it in your hand, just push the button. Don’t be scared. Push the button. Come on, be a man.”
Sungmin was lounging on her bed, playing with her new stuffed bunny when her cell phone rang. She glanced at the caller id and smiled.
Sungmin frowned. “Hello? Is anyone there?” She waited a moment before hearing the dialtone. She hung up the phone and sighed. When is he ever going to actually talk to her?
“Dinner’s ready!” All the girls came to the table and started eating.
“Has anyone made any progress yet?”
“Donghae has. She and Eunhyuk are officially dating now, isn’t that right?” Sungmin glanced at Donghae who blushed.
“I have a date with Yesung this weekend.”
“AWW!!! Our little Wookie is going on her first date.”
“YAY!!!! I’ll help you get ready.”
“Me too. We’ll make you look so hot he’ll be tripping over himself.”
“Yeah, he’ll be begging you to be his girlfriend when the night is over. Guaranteed.” Sungmin and Heechul smiled at Ryeowook.
“I have Siwon wrapped around my finger…almost.”
“WHAT?!!? HOW?!?!?” Everyone turned to look at Kibum.
She smirked. “I called him a fake which he didn’t like and told him to prove to me he was actually sincere or he could forget about it.”
Heechul burst out laughing. “OMG, that’s genius. That boy could never resist a challenge. He absolutely hates losing. Good job, Kibummie.”
“I don’t know what to do about Kyuhyun.”
“What do you mean, Minnie?” Ryeowook glanced at Sungmin, confused.
“Well I’ve slipped him my number and he’s called me a few times but he always hangs up right when I answer. I haven’t had any other contact with him since we met yesterday at school.”
“Aww, don’t worry. Things will happen.”
“Yeah, just be more forward like me.”
“And look where that got you.” Donghae laughed. “Hankyung rejected you when you showed up in his room wearing your sexy lingerie.”
“WHAT?!?!? When did you do that?”
“How’d you even get into his room? How do you even know where he lives?”
“I have my ways.” Heechul smiled. “And I did that last night. I was all over him. I even told him he could do whatever he wanted with me but he completely rejected me. What an idiot! I told him that he just missed his only chance with me.”
Sungmin scoffed. “Yeah, right. He’s the only guy you want. You’ll never give him just the one chance. I saw you clinging to him after school.”
“Shut up, Minnie!” Everyone was staring open mouthed at Heechul. She was actually blushing. “What? Why are you staring at me? Not that I can blame you but still, can we move on? Teukie still hasn’t told us what’s going on with her and Kangin.”
Everyone turned her head towards Teukie. She blushed. “What? There’s nothing to say. I already told you he stole my first kiss.”
“What about when he dragged you out of the dance studio when he saw you dancing with Hankyung? What did he do then?”
“WHAT?!?!? He dragged you out of class?”
“You were dancing with MY HANNIE?!?!?! HOW COULD YOU UNNI!!!! HE’S MINE!!!!” Heechul lunged at Leeteuk from across the table but Kibum, Donghae, and Sungmin were already there, restraining her.
“It’s not my fault! It’s for the performance later this month. Would you prefer having me or Sungmin dance with Hankyung?” Heechul froze at that question. She grumbled and frowned before reluctantly sitting down again.
“So tell us what he did to you after he dragged you out of Dance.”
“He acted like a petulant child and got all possessive. Last I checked he had no claim over me. I told him that and called him a big jealous child and left. I don’t think he noticed but I had glanced back at him and he was a little happy.”
“Happy? What do you mean unni?” Ryeowook looked at Leeteuk confused.
“Happy as in aroused.”
“Oh you mean like Kyuhyun yesterday when he came back with his shirt sticking out of his fly?” Everyone stared at Ryeowook.
“WHAT?!?!? When did this happen? How come you never told us.”
“I’m sorry. I didn’t think it was important. Besides, I already told Sungmin about it.” Everyone just looked at Ryeowook who just resumed eating her food. Everyone decided to leave the topic alone for now. They ate silently for the rest of the meal, each lost in her own thoughts about her man.
“Come get your food!” Shindong and Eunhyuk instantly ran to the table and started filling their plates. Kangin came in and slapped them on the head. They both rubbed their heads and frowned at him.
“Wait for the others at least. We all need to get some food before you two scarf it all down.”
Siwon, Kyuhyun, and Yesung came in. Hankyung came out of the kitchen with one last plate. They all sat down and placed food on their plate. Shindong and Eunhyuk were looking at Kangin for permission. Kangin sighed and nodded. They both grinned and grabbed the rest of the food, digging right in. The others started to politely eat their food.
“So anything interesting happen with the girls today? I mean other than Eunhyuk dating Donghae now.”
“Dude, that was fast. Didn’t know you had it in you.”
“I have a date this weekend with Ryeowook.”
“WHAT?!?!? YOU have a DATE with RYEOWOOK!?!?!”
“How is that possible, hyung?”
“It just is. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go plan out our amazing date.” Yesung left the table, his plate still half full. Shindong immediately grabbed his plate and put the leftover food on his.
“I need to leave as well. I have things to plan as well.”
“Ways to get Kibum? I hear she’s giving you trouble.” Kyuhyun looked up from his PSP to smirk at Siwon.
“What? Siwon is having troubles with girls. What has the world come to?”
“Very funny hyung. She’s not trouble, she’s just…stubborn.”
Kyuhyun snorted. “Yeah right. She’s trouble. She called you a fake and wants you to prove you’re actually sincere. How are you going to do that? You can’t use your charms on her.”
“What do you mean my charms? And why can’t I use them?”
“Because all your charms are stupid, cheesy, romantic, and gentlemanly. They’re too perfect, they’re fake or seem like it.”
“What? That’s the craziest thing I’ve ever heard. Look, I don’t have time for this. I need think of my next plan of action.”
“Fine, go plan your next big romantic gesture to sweep her off her feet.” Siwon quickly disappeared into his room, leaving a plateful of food that was quickly snatched up by Eunhyuk this time.
“Is it alright if I leave the table now? I’m all done.”
Hankyung sighed. “Alright Kyuhyun.” Kyuhyun quickly left. He still had a whole plate of food leftover as well. This time Kangin grabbed the plate before Eunhyuk or Shindong could. Suddenly Hankyung lost his appetite and just left the table, leaving his half-filled plate. Shindong and Kangin instantly fought over it while Eunhyuk just looked at his hyung’s retreating back. He had the sensation that something might be wrong but he ignored it and went back to eating the last of the food.
Hankyung got to his room and instantly flopped onto his bed. He stared at the ceiling, thoughts of the last two days playing in his head mixed with past memories. So much has happened and so much has changed. Has anything stayed the same?
Hankyung walked over to his desk and opened up his bottom drawer, pulling out a box. He opened it and pulled out a dusty little box. He brushed off the dust, opened it, and gazed at it before placing it away.
He climbed into bed. He was way too tired to tuck everyone into bed tonight. Hopefully they’d all go to sleep at reasonable times. He drifted off to sleep, thoughts of the box wandering through his mind.
A/N: hopefully this chapter is okay...slightly lost inspiration in the middle of it...and sorry about the dancing description and the end of this chapter...
hopefully this new chapter can hold you over until next week...will probably be busy this weekend so chances of posting another chapter is slim...
