Summary: Something's wrong at the dorm so Shindong steps in to help fix it
I came home after a tiring day of filming to notice all was quiet in the dorm. I didn’t think much of it (I mean it was the 11th dorm, we were normally quiet) but then I noticed Kyuhyun sleeping on the couch. I didn’t think anything to it (he usually falls asleep wherever whenever he stays up playing games) but the TV and computer weren’t on and his PSP was nowhere to be found.
“That’s strange…Did something happen between him and Sungmin?” I walked down the hall to my room and noticed Yesung was sleeping outside his door.
“Why is he sleeping outside his room? Isn’t he uncomfortable?” I went into my room and grabbed a blanket to drape over him and another to cover Kyuhyun.
“This is really weird…” I quickly go to my room and sleep and forget about it but then it kept happening every night, Kyuhyun on the couch and Yesung in front of his door. I left too early in the morning to eat breakfast with everyone but when I had the day off…
I woke up and smelled food.
“Oo…I bet Ryeowook is making breakfast now. It’s been a while since I ate with them.” I left my room and walked into the kitchen and froze. The tension was palpable. Ryeowook was working in the kitchen, keeping his back to the table. Yesung had his cup of coffee but wasn’t drinking it, only staring at Ryeowook. Kyuhyun seemed normal but I saw Sungmin sending glares to him. Sungmin looked like he had been crying for sometime since his eyes were all red and puffy. Yesung had panda eyes, probably because it was so uncomfortable sleeping in front of his door curled up like a ball.
“Hi you guys.”
“Oh hi Shindong. Haven’t seen you for a while. How is everything?”
“Fine but what’s going on here?”
“What do you mean?”
“Is everything alright Sungmin?”
“Yeah, everything’s fine. Couldn’t be better.” I was about to ask another question when Eunhyuk and Ryeowook came in. Eunhyuk didn’t look so good either.
“Hey Hyukkie. What’s going on? Are you okay?”
“Yeah I’m fine.”
“Yeah he’s fine. Just leave him alone and eat.” Ryeowook slammed the food onto the table. I jumped a little. It’s rare for the eternal magnae to get upset. Something was definitely wrong…maybe Leeteuk might know.
After breakfast, I left my tension filled dorm for the 12th floor. As soon as I stepped in, I knew something was wrong. It was way, way too quiet in the 12th dorm. They were the noisy bunch. If they were quiet, something was definitely wrong. I saw Hankyung in the kitchen and Kangin sitting on the couch.
“Hey you guys.”
“Oh hi Shindong. What brings you up here?”
“I was looking for Teukie…” I trailed off when I saw Kangin’s eyes flash with some unknown emotion.
“He’s in his room.” I smiled at Hankyung.
“Okay. Thanks.” I quickly went to Leeteuk’s dorm. I was about to knock when I heard voices through the door.
“How could he do such a thing? And he doesn’t even apologize.”
“Calm down Heechul. This is Hankyung we’re talking about. He would never do something like that. He’s loyal to you.”
“Yeah Heechul hyung. Hankyung loves you unlike Hyukkie.” I heard a stifled sob.
“Aww Hae. Don’t cry. Hyukkie loves you, he really does.”
“No he doesn’t.” The crying got louder.
I tentatively knocked on the door. The noise quieted down.
“Who is it?”
“Oh, come on in.” Leeteuk opened the door. I saw Donghae and Heechul sitting on Leeteuk’s bed. “What brings you up here?”
“Well…I was wondering if you knew what was going on.”
“What do you mean?”
“Did something happen between Ryeowook and Yesung? Or Sungmin and Kyuhyun? Or Eunhyuk and Donghae? Or –“
“Okay okay okay, we get it. Yeah something happened. Those guys were being stupid bastards.”
“Hyukkie’s not a bastard.”
“He is in my book for hurting my poor Hae.”
“Alright…can someone tell me what’s going on?”
Leeteuk sighed. “To make things simple, we all got in a fight with our lovers over one thing or another. I’m mad at Kangin for getting into another fight. Heechul is just jealous of Hankyung and Jessica in the new Super Junior – M music video (though there’s no reason to, she didn’t really do anything in the music video, she was just a pretty prop). Donghae is mad at Hyukkie ‘cause he thinks Hyukkie doesn’t love him anymore since Hyukkie has been spending all his time with Junsu these days since he got back from Japan. Ryeowook is upset with Yesung. I don’t know why and I don’t see why. Yesung absolutely adores Ryeowook and will do anything to make him happy. Sungmin is mad at Kyuhyun ‘cause he always ignores him for his video games. I think that’s about it. We don’t really see Kibum and Siwon that much but I doubt they have any problems.”
“Okay…thanks for telling me hyung. I think I’ll get going. I don’t know how much help I’ll be right now.”
“Oh, okay. We’ll see you later then Shindong. Bye.” I waved and quickly left. I got to my room and started devising my plan. It’s up to me to get the group back together.
It took a few days to get everything ready. I spent two days writing notes and another day spent booking the place. Everything was all set except for the roses. It was better to buy them fresh so I walked to a local flower shop and bought a dozen roses. I quickly rushed back to my room, making sure no one was watching. Thankfully, the other members were out and I was left alone in the dorm.
It was time to set my plan in motion…
I was waiting at the restaurant in the back room, watching the monitors set up especially for tonight. I had a view of every room in the dorms. I looked at my watch.
I saw the front door open. In both dorms, all the members came in and stopped right in the doorway. Hanging from the ceiling were notes labeled with each member’s name. Each note held the same message though the members didn’t know that.
Find your rose.
I watched as each member started searching around the dorm for his rose. It was fun watching them go around the dorm, trying to find their rose and I bet it was fun for them. They completely forgot about their problems in their search for their rose. It took them about 45 minutes to find every rose (there were only 12 but they’re a big group). Once they got their rose, they collected in the living room to read the notes attached. Again, everyone had the same message, unknown to the others.
You’ve been invited to an exclusive party at XXXX. Please bring your rose and this invitation to enter.
I saw their puzzled expression.
“What does your note say?” Leeteuk asked, looking at everyone.
“I’ve been invited to an exclusive party.”
“Alright I get it. Come on, let’s go then.” I watched as everyone left the dorm to pile into the vans. Glad they were getting along for now. I turned away from the monitors. I had to get ready.
Leeteuk and the rest of the members pulled up in front of the restaurant. They all piled out of the van.
“What are we doing here?”
“I have no idea but let’s go in.”
They walked to the door but were stopped by the security guard.
“Your passes please.” Leeteuk held up his invitation and rose. The guard nodded and moved aside to let him pass. The others followed his example. Yesung almost couldn’t go because he had misplaced his rose but luckily Ryeowook had it.
“Here you go, hyung. Geez, you’re so absent-minded.”
Yesung smiled. “Thanks Wookie.”
Ryeowook just stiffened, placed a blank expression on his face and walked past him. Yesung frowned and followed.
They were directed to the back of the restaurant. A big table was set for 13 people. The waiter told them to find their seats. They wandered around the table, looking at the place cards to find their seats. I had specifically arranged it so that the couples were across from each other. Hopefully after this dinner I could get them to all get along again. I hated the tension, made activities unpleasant. I waited until they were all seated.
“Does anyone have any idea what we’re going here?”
“Did I ask you?” Sungmin glared at Kyuhyun. Kyuhyun just looked back, starting a staring contest between the two.
“Who organized this?” That’s my cue…
I stepped out of the back room. “I did. Glad you all could make it.” I smiled. Everyone just gaped at me.
“You did this, Shindong?”
“I think it’s obvious.”
“Yeah. He wanted us to get rid of the tension plaguing our dorm.”
“You’re right, Kyuhyun. It’s gotten so bad, it’s affecting our activities. You guys need to talk this out and solve it so I thought it’d be a good idea to meet together. Now let me warn you. There will be no kind of fighting here, just talking. It’s been a while since we’ve all gathered together. I don’t want anything to spoil the evening. So let’s start with Leeteuk and work our way down.”
“Did me and Kibum need to be here for this? We weren’t having any problems.”
“Yes you did. It’s been a while since we saw you two. Besides I may need your help. Now Leeteuk, tell us your problem with Kangin.”
Leeteuk sighed. “I’m upset with him. He got into another fight. Why would you do something like that? It reflects poorly on SM and more importantly this group. How could you do something so stupid?”
Kangin flared up. “HEY! What was I supposed to do? He was picking a fight with me. I would’ve ignored him if he hadn’t started talking trash about Super Junior.”
“You’ve told me that the other times. Why did you actually start a fight this time?”
“He was insulting you. How could I let him get away with insulting my lover? I love you, Park Jungsu. I don’t like it when people hurt or insult the ones I love. I wanted to protect you even if you weren’t there.”
Tears came to Leeteuk’s eyes at Kangin’s confession. “I love you too Kim Youngwoon.” He left his seat and went around to hug and kiss Kangin.
“Alright, now next couple. Heechul? Hankyung?”
“I don’t like your new music video for SJ-M.”
“Why? You said you loved it when we were watching it together.”
“Yeah well I was lying.” Heechul crossed his arms and looked at Hankyung. It only took Hankyung a moment to understand.
“You were jealous, weren’t you? Of me and Jessica.”
“So what if I was?”
“You have nothing to worry about. There’s no way I could be interested in her when I have you. You’re the only one for me, only you and no one else.” Heechul smiled.
“Alright. Good. Now next couple. We’ll have Sungmin go. Sorry Yesung.”
“I’m not going to talk.”
“Sorry Shindong but I have nothing to say to someone who’d pick video games over their own boyfriend.”
“What are you talking about?”
“Oh come on Kyuhyun. You’d rather spend your time playing video games instead of hanging out with me, your boyfriend.”
“That is not true. You’re the most important person in my life.”
“Yeah right. I don’t believe you.” Sungmin just looked at Kyuhyun. Kyuhyun looked a lil angry and desperate.
“You are. You’re the first person I think of when I wake, the last person I think about before I sleep. I think about you all the time. I worry when I’m not with you. I love you Lee Sungmin and I’m sorry if I ignore you for video games but sometimes I need it to escape from all the love I have for you.”
Everyone just stared at Kyuhyun in shock. Whoa…had no idea…
Sungmin was the most shocked; he had his mouth hanging open. We all looked to see what he would do.
He got up from his chair and slowly made his way over to Kyuhyun.
“You’re an idiot.” Kyuhyun bowed his head. “But an idiot I absolutely love. You should’ve just told me.”
“I’m sorry.” Sungmin smiled and kissed Kyuhyun. We all smiled.
“Alright now for Hyukkie and Hae.”
Donghae pouted. “You don’t love me anymore.” Everyone minus Leeteuk, Heechul, and I looked shocked. Hyukkie seemed to be the most affected by this statement.
“How-how-how can you say that, Hae? I love you.”
“No you don’t. You spend all your time with Junsu these days.” Eunhyuk flinched. “You never spend any time with me.”
“Hae…Junsu’s my friend. He’s been in Japan these last few months. I rarely get to see him. I wanted to spend as much time with him as I could before he leaves again. Just because I’m spending so much time with him right now doesn’t mean I don’t love you. I will always love you. You’re my Fishy. I can’t live without you.”
“It’s true. When you’re not there, he’s not the same. The time you were in China, Hyukkie was so sick with worry. You know he can’t function normally without at least hearing your voice. He’s addicted to you. It’s a little unhealthy.” Everyone stared at Sungmin who was sitting in Kyuhyun’s lap. “What?”
“Is that true Hyukkie?” Donghae asked in a small voice full of hope.
Eunhyuk blushed. “Well…yeah…I mean – mmph.” Donghae had lept out of his chair and tackled Eunhyuk, kissing him breathless.
“Okay…now for the last couple.” I looked at Ryeowook and Yesung. “Ryeowook? Would you care to share with us why you seem to be mad at Yesung?”
“Yeah. I’m curious too. We all know how much Yesung adores you. What could he have done to make you upset?”
“He should know.” We all turned to look at Yesung. He just shrugged.
“I have no idea what I did wrong. I’ve tried asking him but he just ignores me. It’s frustrating.”
“Can’t you just tell us, Wookie-ah?” Ryeowook pouted.
“He forgot to call me back.” We all looked at each other. This was the reason he got so mad at Yesung? Not calling back?
“Oh and he forgot our anniversary, our 6 month anniversary.”
Sungmin jumped up from Kyuhyun’s lap. “WHAT? THAT IS INEXCUSABLE!!! YESUNG! HOW COULD YOU?!?!” Yesung cringed.
“Sorry? SORRY? SORRY?!?! That’s all you can say. How could you forget your 6 month anniversary? It’s a very important date. You fail as a boyfriend for forgetting something important like that.” Everyone was staring at Yesung who tried to hide in his chair.
“I’m very disappointed in you, Jongwoon. I thought you were the perfect boyfriend for Ryeowook and then you do this. I should never have let you date my baby.” Leeteuk came over to Ryeowook’s side, giving him a comforting hug.
“Even I wouldn’t have forgotten something like this. You’re a disgrace, Yesung.” Yesung sank further and further into his chair until he slipped under the table. We all just stared at the empty spot where Yesung used to sit. Everyone was wondering what he was doing when I noticed him by the back door. I nodded and pressed the button to turn out the lights.
“Whoa…what’s going on?”
“Why’d the lights go out?”
“I bet it was aliens.”
“Be quiet, Hae. Can someone turn on the lights?”
“I got it.” I pressed the button again, turning the lights on. Everyone gasped. Right where Ryeowook was sitting was a large package. Everyone just stared at it.
“Open it, Wookie. Let’s see what’s inside.” Ryeowook slowly approached the box. He slowly upwrapped the present. When he opened the box, he gasped.
“What? What is it?” Everyone started crowding around him. They peeked inside and gasped as well. Inside the box were a crystal heart and a photo album. There was a letter on top of the album.
This album contains pictures of every moment we’ve spent together from the very first day I met you to now. I want you to know I never really forgot our 6 month anniversary. I’d be so stupid to forget something important like that. I love you Wookie-ah. You’re my heart, my true love, my soulmate. I can’t live without you. I hope you’ll stay by my side forever. Turn to the last page of the album for another surprise.
Ryeowook quickly flipped to the end of the album. Taped inside was a small silver key and another note. He pulled them out.
Use this key to open my heart.
Ryeowook picked up the crystal heart and noticed a small lock. He inserted the key and opened the lid. He gasped. Everyone was shocked speechless. Nestled inside a silk cushion was a small velvet box, the perfect size for a ring. He pulled the case out and flipped the lid. Inside was a heart shaped sapphire ring.
“Kim Ryeowook, I want to ask you something in front of our family.” Ryeowook turned around to see Yesung standing there. He got down on bended knee. “Will you marry me?”
Total silence filled the room. Sungmin and Heechul were holding their breath. Leeteuk was leaning against Kangin, bracing himself. The rest were just looking at the couple from Yesung to Ryeowook to the ring and back.
It felt like an eternity when Ryeowook finally answered.
“Yes…yes…yes…yes…” Tears of joy were streaming down his face. Yesung smiled and slipped the ring onto his finger. He gave Ryeowook a kiss. Everyone started yelling and shouting, giving congratulations. Heechul and Sungmin were jumping around in joy. Leeteuk was crying out of happiness.
“I can’t believe my two babies are going to be married. Oh, I’m so happy. I’m so proud of them too. Oh, Kangin, our babies are growing up.” Kangin handed Leeteuk a tissue and gave him a hug.
“I think this calls for a celebration.” I whipped out the champagne I was holding behind my back. I started pouring glasses for everyone with help from Siwon and Kibum. Everyone grabbed a glass.
“A toast to Ryeowook and Yesung. You guys are the perfect couple. I wish you both happiness and-and-“
“and love everlasting.” We all looked at Donghae. “What?”
“Nothing. To Ryeowook and Yesung. May Yewook live on.” We clinked our glasses and drank.
The rest of the night was spent in merriment, eating, drinking, laughing, and talk about wedding plans.
A/N: no offense to anyone who likes SNSD but seriously in the music video, there wasn’t a point in having Jessica there. All she did was reject Hannie the first time and then dance with him later when he’s all hot. There’s not much of a story line there. No point to her joining their dancing, she got in the way of the hot guys.
Originally I had something else planned when Shindong was thinking of his plan. He was going to specially deliver the roses in different ways but I made it easier on myself and had him deliver everything at once. Yeah…sorry about that…I wonder if it would’ve been better if I wrote that part the way I originally planned.
Yeah the reasons why the wives were upset at the husbands...not that great but couldn't really thing. btw did any of you notice how i spend more time and detail with yewook's part than the others? my bias just comes out...XD
